The Urban League of Long Island, Inc. enlists the support of our auxiliary organizations towards the fulfillment of our civic engagement and leadership empowerment goals. The Guild and GenNext are comprised of community volunteers who serve as a base of support for the Urban League of Long Island. These individuals engage in community service and professional development activities with the overarching goal of promoting and fulfilling the mission of the Urban League Movement on Long Island.

Provides registration of all eligible voters by mail or in person. Maintains central file of registered voters in Broome County. Provides absentee ballots upon request. Conducts elections. Receives party-designating petitions for filing.

Volunteers welcome in all aspects of citizen action work and may choose to work on issue that affects or concerns them.Required Training & Application Procedures: Call, email, or stop in and complete volunteer form. Periodic trainings offered on issue campaigns, elections and leadership skills available to volunteers.Proof of Immunization: None

Recruits and trains volunteers for a variety of opportunities, such as special events, education and legislative programs.
