Cornell leadership in environmental conservation and education is helping protect native species and habitats in Cornell Botanic Gardens' natural areas, throughout the region, and beyond.

To enhance residents overall quality of life by offering individualized activities tailored to mutual areas of interest between volunteers and residents. Volunteers help wheelchair residents to Sunday services on campus. Volunteers visit with residents.

Volunteers needed for toy shop, soup kitchen, and bell ringers at Christmas time.

Offers volunteers a variety of opportunities of outdoor education and recreation, such as teaching, help at specific events, trail maintenance, gardening, exhibit construction, receptionist for 2-hr shift on occasional Saturday, snowplow parking lot, assembly bi-monthly newsletter, and other projects at five sites. Volunteers <18 yrs must be accompanied by parent or adult, on case-by-case approval.

Sells fabric, yarn, sewing, fiber, and needlecraft supplies, as well as some upcycled/recycled clothing and local fiber crafts. Merchandise is primarily donated by community members or on consignment from local fiber artisans. Proceeds benefit the SewGreen Art Room classroom and its programs for children, teens, and adults.

Offers volunteer opportunities in the following areas: patient care, gift shop, information desk/guest services, office/clerical duties, patient transportation, print shop, and dietary. The application form is also available on the website.

Thrift shop provides low cost apparel, bedding, linens, books, toys, games, kitchenware, small kitchen appliances, etc.Donations accepted. Does not accept upholstered furniture, mattress, television and computers.
