Volunteers are the backbone of the YMCA. At all levels, volunteers contribute valuable resources of knowledge and talents to help our association carry out its mission. Whether your talents and interests are in sports, special events, or fundraising.Opportunities starting at 13 years of age through our teen swim assistant program and camp counselor in training program at 15 years of age.All Volunteers over the age of 18 years old are required to pass a background check.

Provides volunteer opportunities to be mentors for the girls or to help with various activities. Opportunities also exist to work with adults, helping them learn about the Girl Scouts, and how to implement programs, also to do committee work.

30-hr mediation training offered to volunteer mediators (18+ yrs).40-hr CASA training offered to volunteers (21+ yrs).

Volunteers help with shelving books and clerical work. Youth volunteers interviewed in May/June for Summer Reading Program that starts in July.
