Provides summer resident camp open to all girls (entering 2nd-12th grade) at Amahami Outdoor Center near Deposit. Wide range of activities such as swimming, boating, hiking, horseback riding, adventure challenges, outdoor cooking, environmental education, arts and crafts. Housing in tents and/or cabins. Camperships available.

Serve girls/adults in 24 counties in New York and two in Pennsylvania, including the Southern Tier, Central New York, the Finger Lakes Region and North Country.

Provides opportunities for scouting to all boys and young adults in the counties served and support all units, and their volunteer leaders. Council is made up of all the chartered organizations and their volunteer scouters. Offers Cub Scout program to boys and girls, kindergarten through fifth grade. Offers Scouts BSA program is for boys and girls in sixth grade to age eighteen. Offers co-ed Venturing and Exploring programs which provide opportunities to experience career exploration in specific areas and high adventure for youth 14-20. Through an extensive on hands stem program we provide learning opportunities to youth through scouting for character development, citizenship and leadership training.

Boy Scouts of America delivers programs which emphasize character building, citizenship and physical and mental fitness. Values are reinforced through action-oriented indoor and outdoor programs, high adventure activities and leadership development.

* Provides emergency services and programs to the community. Fire fighters trained as Peace Officers. Crowd/traffic control in emergencies. Collaboration with Sheriff's Department. Fire Fighters United for Safety Education/FUSE. Fire safety education for all ages. Smoke and CO detector program. Car seat safety education. Health education, accident prevention.

Covers 60 Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and venture units covering Tioga and Broome Counties.

Covers Scouting in Chenango County and northeastern Broome County of New York comprised of 30+ units and 300+ adult volunteers.

In partnership with adult volunteers, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives, such as leadership, strong values, social conscience; and conviction about their own potential and self-worth. Girls can participate in troops, council program events and camping programs.

Provides a wide range of supervised outdoor and STEM activities aimed at building leadership skills and self-esteem. Also have available summer camp opportunities. Girls can join through troops, camp, single events or multi-week program series.

Volunteers are recruited on an ongoing basis to provide support and encouragement to help develop individual and group initiative and responsibility, self-reliance, courage, personal fitness, discipline and other desirable qualities of character through participation in a wide range of organized recreational, educational and civic activities.

Troop members work on developing their skills in camping, swimming, citizenship, communication, conservation, cooking, community living, first aid and a wide variety of other areas, and usually earn proficiency badges when they have demonstrated mastery of the skills that are required for a particular activity.

The Girl Scouts Leadership Experience is a one-of-a-kind leadership development program for girls. Girl Scouts is a place where girls practice different skills, explore their potential, take on leadership positions.
