Peer support group for people who are blind/visually impaired. The group is led by volunteers who are blind/visually impaired and includes social support and guest speakers.

Provides the following for developmentally disabled individuals with epilepsy: - Advocacy for all ages - Counseling for all ages - Information and referral for all ages - Developmentally disabled parent training - Parenting skills for parents of developmentally disabled children ages birth-22 - Support groups for adults ages 18-65, including parenting support Other support services may include: - Case Management/Service Coordination - Forms preparation assistance - Overnight camps - Scholarships - Telephone reassurance

Provides the following services, with some transportation provided: advocacy, benefits/entitlements, developmentally disabled parent training, family reimbursement, guardianship, home care, home modification, independent living skills training, information and referral, parenting skills for parents of developmentally disabled children, residential habilitation, in-home and out-of-home respite care (day, evening, and overnight), service coordination/case management, support groups, and day camps.

STRAWW Recovery Guides assist participants in developing recovery plans tailored to their individual needs. Various tools are used to assist participants to define their goals and develop a plan to reach them. Program links participants with community activities and programs as well as creating activities and events that are of interest to participants. In addition, disabled individuals have the opportunity to meet in groups or one-on-one sessions to discuss common experiences, support one another's efforts, and provide guidance toward the common goal of increased independence.

A support group for anyone with a prostate related problem and their family members. The objective is to provide a forum through which participants can share their experiences and discuss matters of common interest relating to prostate problems. Survivors assist newly diagnosed patients with information on treatment choices. Meetings are held at St. Joseph's Hospital in Cheektowaga on the third Tuesday of each month. A representative is available at Room 716A of the VA Medical Center, 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215; open to the public (no need to be a veteran); see office hours below. Medical articles, videos, internet access, and one-on-one counseling are available.

An education and support program that helps women with cancer manage the appearance-related side effects of treatment. Professional cosmetologists volunteer their expertise during group sessions. Complimentary kits containing name-brand cosmetics are distributed during group programs.

Helpline consultants available to assist individuals adapt to the changes they may be experiencing, as they go through life-long process of adjusting their lifestyle to best suit their changing needs.

Holds monthly meetings for individuals, families, and friends who are affected by epilepsy and seizure disorders.

Provides physical, emotional, and spiritual care to persons with advanced illnesses and their families throughout Chenango County. Care available 24 hrs/7 days/week regardless of ability to pay.

Support and communication group for people with aphasia and primary progressive aphasia. Participants talk, share experiences, offer support and learn skills to help them in their everyday lives.
