* Works closely with support group facilitators, first responders, clergy members, mental health professionals and others in the community, to help survivors cope with their loss, their pain, their questions and their journey of healing.
* Alerts public officials, legislators and national and community leaders to important suicide research and prevention initiatives and is a strong advocate for the needs and goals of the survivor community.

Receives referrals from the local public school systems, and collaborate with Broome Chenango Canine Help Group. This organization provides registered therapy dogs to families when needed. Opportunity to pet, touch, and talk to these therapy dogs has proven beneficial to some individuals.

Project HUGS (Help Understanding Grief Situations) will provide grieving children in local participating school districts with opportunities to express themselves; identify and share their feelings; develop positive coping skills, and better understand their loss situation as they take the necessary steps toward healing. Referrals to mental health agencies are made whenever such services are warranted.

Eight week Support Group for those who are grieving.
Evening includes songs, prayer and scripture, reflection time, intercessions, and a memorial service to remember deceased spouses. The program concludes with a time for refreshments and fellowship.
Offers two different support groups for bereaved parents; one group for parents of an infant or child who died by accident or illness and the other group for parents of an infant who died by miscarriage, stillbirth, or newborn death.
Provides professional support, education, information and resources to bereaved in the community via support groups for adults, children and teens. Memorial services, referrals, community education counseling and community crisis intervention are also provided.
