A grant-funded peer to peer program open to all veterans in Cattaraugus County regardless of branch, deployment record, or discharge reason. The program operates with six goals in mind: 1. Help veterans pursue outreach and education. 2. Provide peer to peer support. 3. Build resiliency among veterans. 4. Encourage a connection between their families, friends, and community members. 5. Provides primary care and emergency services for veterans. Inpatient and outpatient treatment includes evaluation, treatment, medical, surgical, psychiatry, neurology and rehabilitation medicine. A full range of health screenings, health education resources, and prevention programs (weight, smoking cessation) are available. Services for women veterans include GYN services, PAP smears, mammograms, and programs for domestic violence and sexual trauma. STRAWW Recovery Guides assist participants in developing recovery plans tailored to their individual needs. Various tools are used to assist participants to define their goals and develop a plan to reach them. Program links participants with community activities and programs as well as creating activities and events that are of interest to participants. In addition, disabled individuals have the opportunity to meet in groups or one-on-one sessions to discuss common experiences, support one another's efforts, and provide guidance toward the common goal of increased independence.

Provides substance use disorder and mental health treatment. Services include substance use disorder evaluation, treatment including individual and group therapy, medication assisted treatment (MAT) including Buprenorphine (Suboxone), Vivitrol, and Naltrexone, drug and alcohol testing, mental health counseling and medication management, family counseling, adolescent counseling, peer support, and impaired driver evaluation. Certified by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (NYS OASAS). All services are strictly confidential. Supervised 16 bed halfway house for adult males affected by alcohol and/or substance use. In addition to residential services, this program provides case management, intake, assessment, referral and on-site outpatient counseling for persons affected by alcohol and/or other drug use disorders, as well as co-occurring disorder (substance use and mental heath) programming. Vocational/educational services are provided through outpatient services. Self help meetings offered on and off site.

Support group provides resources, comfort, coping skills, and a place for women to share common concerns and emotional support. Meetings are located in the Heart Center of Niagara's HSBC Community Room on the second floor. Also maintains the 2U ABC Relief Fund, which provides direct financial support to both uninsured and insured patients who have high co-pays or cannot afford their co-pays, and who are financially and medically qualified for medical treatments and/or prescription medication. Financial support may go towards radiation and chemo treatments, prescription medication, or over-the-counter medication.

Recruits, trains, and supports foster parents, including those providing therapeutic foster care. - Works with kinship homes, traditional two parent homes, single parent homes, same-sex couples, and racially diverse homes. - Offers 24-hour emergency support. - Offers monitored visitation with birth family. - Offers support from Licensed Social Worker and Mental Health professionals as well as case managers. - Offers support groups and training to Foster Parents as well as respite (babysitting) if needed and assistance in all areas of care. - Provides psychiatric services when needed. - Practices "Normative Culture" which is based on all team members (foster families included) valuing and exhibiting four norms: Respect, Responsibility, Goal Directed Behaviors, and Safety (both emotional and physical). - Provides practice and training in trauma informed and trauma sensitive environments and approaches.
