Science center devoted entirely to genetics education and operates center for molecular genetic research. Offers field trips, student summer day camps, education workshops, teacher training and fellowships, school district membership programs and opportunities for public education.

Managed by the Islip Arts Council, the museum presents four exhibitions of contemporary art. The Council also offers a year-round schedule of workshops, trips, lectures and fine arts classes for children and adults. Contains gift shop.

Off-site swimming pool offers open swim year-round, lap and family swims, lifeguard training, and swim lessons.

GAP offers a variety of recreational experiences in an atmosphere of acceptance and friendship. Activities are varied but usually include arts and crafts, sports, table games, music time and dancing. Frequent trips are also scheduled. GAP participants have attended plays, sports events, restaurants, museums, farms, and special children shows. GAP offers a variety of fall, winter, spring, evening and weekend programs. It also offers summer programs, including a six week summer camp. Organize and lead field trips for youth with kidney or urology disease which helps promote friendships, a positive selfworth, expand their horizons, and encourage participation in activities.

Offers a variety of activities and programs for seniors in the community, giving them an opportunity to socialize, have fun and learn new things.

Offers hands on programs in the learning center to students in first through twelfth grades. The programs focus on physical sciences and utilize the inquiry method of teaching along with exploration time with museum exhibits. During school vacations, the museum is open for Scouts, Enrichment/Remedial Programs and Science Clubs. Call for reservations and more information.

Provides assistance in filling out forms, as well as information and referral. Offers portal to portal transportation for medical appointments and limited groceries. Also offers hot nutritious lunches, recreational activities, educational and health programs (including blood pressure, hearing, and cholesterol screenings), and organized trips (both day and overnight). Monthly bulletin available by request. Mayor's discount card available for all seniors 55 and older; must be used in the city only.
