Has a contract with the Center for Elder Law & Justice for Legal Assistance.

Services include: - Medical Transportation - Senior Discount Card - Monthly newsletter - Information and referral services - Recreational and leisure programming, including outings and day trips Also operates two Senior Centers in the City of Buffalo: Autumnwood Manor Senior Citizen Center and Summer/Richmond Senior Citizen Center (see separate listings).

Provides community meeting space, food pantry referrals, special events, family activities, and technology center / computer lab. Senior programming includes exercise, movies, parties, senior council meetings, bingo, nutrition program for seniors, and field trips. Youth programming includes an after school program for children 5-10 years old, 4-H programs, homework help, teen and adolescent life skills, youth and teen recreation, summer day camp, and homework assistance. Also provided are youth sports, adult sports and recreation, adult athletic leagues, exercise programs, and a fitness room. Serves as a City of Buffalo Cooling Center during times of extreme heat and as a Warming Center during times of extreme cold. Always call ahead to make sure a Cooling/Warming Center is open before going there.

Offers a variety of social, intellectual and recreational programs for the frail to the well elderly. Programs include clubs, classes, trips, lectures and physical fitness. Transportation available for members.

Provides many activities including hot and cold lunches three times a week, day trips, overnight trips, special movie dates, exercise and line dancing classes, just to name a few. Seniors are welcome to join the nearest center and to participate in all its activities.

Offers bus trips to the Bronx Zoo, New York Mets at Shea Stadium, Ellis Island, New York City, Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus, Radio City Christmas Spectacular and Broadway Shows. Call for further information.

Provides a full complement of services to adults ages 55 and over. Daytime programming includes breakfast, lunch, take-home food, exercise, field trips, transportation services, health and wellness information, assistance with senior benefits/issues, recreation and cultural activities, technology classes, workshops, and referral services. Also offers an emergency food pantry, open to residents living in zip code 14204. All services are operated and managed by seniors.

Provides weekly programs at the Batavia Senior Center. Some of the programs offered are bridge, line dancing, cribbage, arthritis chair-based exercise, quilters, and painting classes. New groups are always being organized. Special programs such as 55 Alive Driver Refresher Course, educational, health, and informational programs are also offered. Day trips to concerts, exhibits, musical productions, restaurants, and areas of special interest are also scheduled in the spring, summer, and fall. Senior groups and clubs exist in most areas of the county which offer luncheons and pot luck dinners. Most groups offer programs of interest, entertainment, day trips, and other recreational activities.

Provides activities including bingo, coffee and conversation, seasonal arts and crafts, fitness classes including yoga, lectures, and creative arts. Offers recreational trips and engaging classes and trainings through University Express and other partners. Programs meet at several locations on the West Side. A hot lunch is offered every weekday through the Erie County Department of Senior Services’ Stay Fit Dining Program. Event calendar contains a variety of activities every month including but not limited to bowling, BINGO, movies, plays/musicals, festivals, comedy shows, amusement parks, and more. Offers small, supportive group events and provides opportunities for members to have fun, socialize, and experience new activities. Provides 1 leader for every 4 participants.
