Provides you with the training required for a successful bookkeeping career. With convenient day and evening courses, you can earn your Bookkeeping Certificate and propel your career to new heights. SMART VAN | FAMILY AND CHILDREN'S ASSOCIATION

FCA's SMART Van is equipped with 4 computer stations and visits senior programs and health fairs within the Town of Hempstead with the goal of bringing technology education and access to resources to older adults within the Town of Hempstead. In partnership with local Universities, students and volunteers help seniors improve their skills and feel more comfortable with using technology. The computer stations can also be used to help seniors connect with resources and entitlement programs.

COMPUTER LAB FOR SENIORS | SENIOR COMPUTER LEARNING CENTER-KINGSTON

Offer a low-cost, friendly introduction to using computers. The basic curriculum is comprised of courses on introduction to computers, word processing, spreadsheets and going online and using the Internet. More advanced courses include topics such as genealogy, graphics, personal financial management and tax preparation with a computer. Most Centers offer open lab time where students can use computers to practice their skills or to work on individual projects.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS CERTIFICATE | AMMERMAN CAMPUS

Offers a program that is suitable for students who already have an associate, bachelor’s or master’s degree in a non-computing area and are seeking intensive computer-related technical training in a short period of time (two semesters). This option prepares students for challenging and rewarding careers in Computer Information Systems. Depending on the program track, Information Technology majors are taught various aspects of the management of information technology such as performance measurement, program development, disaster recovery, security, business analysis, top-down design of systems, and writing of technical documents. The concept of teamwork may be reinforced through the assignment of group projects in various courses. Overall, the curriculum is designed to teach technology as well as to develop technological decision-making skills required by a successful information technology professional. Students who wish to continue their studies toward the A.A.S. degree in Information Technology may apply these credits toward that goal. Classes are available for various skill levels. All courses are offered for free! Courses run from one day to six weeks, depending on the course work.
