Provides developmentally disabled youth with a safe and educational environment after school, on weekends, and during school breaks. Offers guardians/parents/families temporary relief from daily demands and ensure their family member is safe.

Offers academic enrichment through tutorial services, homework help, and community involvement; health and fitness through basketball, boxing, health and nutrition education, an All About Me program, martial arts, and a snack bar; and arts and culture through Design and Paint, Culture Exposes and Celebrate Diversity programs.

Provides a wide array of programming for infants through senior citizens. These programs are greatly varied, so that people of differing abilities may participate. Some of the programs include aerobics, aqua exercise, fitness programs, indoor track, basketball, gym classes, specialty camps, country line dancing, volleyball, soccer and swimming lessons for all ages, and pre-school and school age swim instruction.

**DUE TO COVID-19, PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY ON HOLD - TENTATIVELY UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2021 **Thomas Sports Group provides organized sports leagues for low-income youth and families at risk. The objectives are to promote self-esteem, teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership.

* Offers adaptive recreational and sports programming for autistic and disabled youth. GRASP's Inclusive Soccer Program: includes a team comprised of typical developing, Autistic, and disabled students, which competes in a newly developed regional league. Offers equipment, such as cleats, shin guards, socks, and shorts to students with financial need, as well as equipment for practices and games.* Provides full-length and mini skills camps for community organizations and schools across the country. * Can assist existing athletic programs in providing best practices for accessibility and inclusivity in sports.

* Helps adults (18+) who have been in jail, prison, or detention. They offer different services and support to assist individuals in getting back on their feet. This includes: Case managers who can help with training, finding jobs, housing, transportation, support groups, mentoring, recreational activities, and personal needs products Assistance with civil legal matters, obtaining birth certificates, Social Security cards, NY photo IDs, and driver's licenses Collaboration with partner agencies that can also provide services

Provides recreational and creative arts activities in a highly supervised after-school setting for youth ages 7 to 12 years with mental health needs. Offers a range of small group activities, such as gym, recreation, music, and arts and crafts as well as homework assistance. Provides transportation to and from the program.

* Provides youth services and programs for all ages such as after school programs, career counseling, cultural awareness, youth support groups, youth enrichment programs and recreational activities.* Offers senior activities that include day trips, bingo, arts and crafts.

* Provide a multi-use community facility. Organized youth sports programs and activities. Senior Citizen activities. Community social events.

Includes programs and services: ARISE at the Farm, ARISE & Ski, social and support groups, and the UNIQUE art magazine and exhibit.

Specific offerings include therapeutic horseback riding, inclusive playground, summer and school-break day camp, after-school respite, adaptive snow skiing, teen and youth support groups including siblings of children with disabilities, and a visual and written art exhibit.

* Provides recreational, athletic and social activities for youth, adults and senior citizens. Silver Sneakers aerobics classes for seniors. Youth soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball. Youth summer day camp.

* Offers emotional and social help for teens and young adults with cancer: fun activities and peer programs, health and wellness resources, and chances to meet others who understand.

Summer programs include youth employment, leisure time and recreational/cultural activities. Also offers a Martial Arts Program, career explorations, Martin Luther King Scholarship which is given annually to deserving students, and the Kearse Soccer Clinic. Year round individual and family counseling offered. Tutorial and homework assistance is also available as well as workshops on substance prevention, underage drinking, teenage pregnancy, and HIV/AIDS.

Offers a program geared toward those girls entering grades 2 through 12 who desire a training experience in all facets of basketball. A focus is on the fundamentals and our campers have fun focusing on it! In fact, basketball fundamentals are taught, demonstrated and drilled every day. Your child will receive expert instruction in shooting techniques, dribbling, passing, agilities, rebounding, footwork, fundamental stations and so much more. We provide individual coaching and group instruction as wells as 5-on-5 games and supervised competition. Campers are grouped according to their level of ability and every child is encouraged to excel and reach her maximum potential. For our Girls Basketball Camps, the Hofstra University Women’s Basketball team will demonstrate techniques and help develop campers’ individual and team skills in a fun, supportive and positive environment. We encourage all participants to become better basketball players by improving fundamental skills and learning what it takes to be reach next level. Girls Basketball Camp utilizes the university’s state-of-the-art, air-conditioned David S. Mack Sports Complex basketball arena indoor and outdoor basketball courts, premiere dining facilities, indoor heated Olympic-sized swimming pool, and fully equipped infirmary staffed by registered nurses. With expert instruction and a motivating, positive learning environment, Hofstra Summer Camps provide the ultimate opportunity for learning skills and gaining confidence while having fun and making friends. Offers a community-based volunteer program for students and adults providing services that include a graffiti removal project, community gardens, mural project, holiday assistance, community clean up, food pantry, PTO child care, sponsored special events and recreational activities, and a tutoring project in cooperation with the Mastic Moriches Shirley Community Library.

The Haverstraw Center serves all residents of the Village of Haverstraw by providing and hosting high-quality, comprehensive services for youth, families, adults and elders, promoting the health, safety, and well-being of community residents of all ages, and raising the quality of life for all people of our diverse community in a spirit of non-partisanship and cooperation.

Offers courses in: Boating; Games & Crafts; Virtual Exercise & Fitness; Lifestyles, Health & Wellness; Languages; Senior Programs including the Sid Jacobson JCC “Our Space” Adult Day Program and Virtual Tours & Presentations. Provides seniors with general computing classes, walking club, country line dancing, chair yoga, craft classes, photography classes, exercise programs, blood pressure screening, knitting and crocheting circle, trips, and more.

Provides social youth enrichment programming including arts, crafts, games, homework assistance, and community service projects. Snacks and dinner available for participating youth.

Offers a wide variety of recreational and educational programs for district residents of all ages. Adult Education classes are scheduled daytimes and evenings throughout the year.
