Provides a place for people to enjoy and appreciate nature while restoring the health of the natural communities. It is a preserve and office facility for the Nature Conservancy on Long Island. Hiking trails are open daily dawn to dusk.

A 200 acre preserve which stretches to the shores of the Great South Bay. It contains mature upland forests, freshwater wetlands, vast salt marsh, and an extensive network of trails and boardwalk. It also houses a Visitor's Center which provides interactive exhibits and collections of both live animals and mounted wildlife specimens and dioramas. The Nature Center is operated by the Seatuck Environmental Association through a partnership with the Town of Islip, which owns the property together with Suffolk County and The Nature Conservancy.
Seeks to protect and preserve natural habitat which is home to a variety of plant and wildlife including waterfowl, osprey and white-tailed deer. Preserve also offers 50 miles of hiking, horseback riding (by annual permit), cross country skiing and nature trails, as well as fly fishing (with permit). The 32 mile Long Island Greenbelt Trail passes through the preserve. A museum and gift shop are also part of the preserve. Youth Summer day camp for children ages 5 to 16 years.
Promotes sound gardening methods, the preservation of the environment and an appreciation of the arboretum and the Long Island community through an extensive education program; lectures and demonstrations at monthly meetings; newsletters and a continuing liaison with other horticultural and environmental associations. Offers a magnificent 216-acre park, including its historic mansions and the Phil Dejana Learning Center. Located at the former Frick Estate, a spectacular 145-acre property in Roslyn Harbor in the heart of Long Island's fabled Gold Coast. The main museum building, named in honor of art collectors and philanthropists Arnold and Joan Saltzman, is a three-story Georgian mansion that exemplifies Gold Coast architecture of the late 19th century. In addition to the Arnold & Joan Saltzman Fine Art Building, Nassau County Museum of Art includes the Sculpture Park, Formal Gardens of historic importance, the Pinetum, ponds, woodlands, an architecturally-significant restored trellis, rare specimen trees, and marked walking trails. Serves more than 18,000 Long Island school children and their teachers who visit the museum each year for exhibition tours and art-related activities. The Education Department additionally sponsors extensive programming for children, adults and family groups and also offers professional development to Long Island's educators. Offers 6.5 miles of ocean beaches, part of a 2,413-acre park. Main attractions include swimming, surf fishing, and a 14,400-seat amphitheater. Facilities include pools, bathhouses, band shell, 2-mile boardwalk, 2-mile health walk, 4-mile bike path, boat basin, 4-finger piers, bait station, surf casting, picnic areas, 4 basketball courts, 22 shuffleboard courts, 8 volleyball courts, paddle tennis, equipment rentals, pitch-putt golf, 2 softball fields, food stands, boardwalk restaurant(new construction pending), ice cream parlor, and exhibits. Lifeguards available, hours and dates vary. Summer events include New York Air Show, a volleyball tournament, an Independence Day fireworks program, Summer Run Series and Pitch Putt Tournament. Empire Passport accepted no pets allowed. The Theodore Roosevelt Nature Center contains, interior and exterior environmental exhibits, a butterfly garden, and children activities.
