Therapeutic Summer Programs are provided for youth with DD, ADHD, or Autism entering first grade through age 16. These are 5-week day programs; no overnight care provided. Community Connections: A replication of an evidence-based summer program for children and adolescents (entering first grade through age 16) with high-functioning autism spectrum disorder (Asperger's, high-functioning autism, and PDD-NOS) or other disabilities. Provides children with intensive training, experience, and practice in social and emotional skills allowing them to make friends and learn to better connect with peers, siblings, teachers, and parents/caregivers. Although designed to support children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, a clinical diagnosis is not required to participate as long as the child demonstrates social-communication difficulties. Program targets development of key social competencies using direct instruction, fun and engaging practice exercises, and recreational activities in a summer camp format.

Summer camp options for one, two, or several week stays, with both traditional and high adventure activities.

Participants engage in facilitated activities including field trips, sports and fitness activities, indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, and community programs. Also provides a healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack. Enrollment begins through Say Yes in April and ends once roster is full OR June 17; wait list will be available.

Camps run from late June through mid-August. Parents/guardians provide transportation, snacks and lunch. Activities include: nature exploration, hikes, crafts, games, songs, etc. Some sessions involve travel off-site.

Offers licensed after school and recess camp programs, adult/youth tennis year round, swimming lessons, water aerobics (year round), lap swim (year round), after-school gym programs, toddler programs, Badminton (year round), adult floor hockey, basketball, volleyball and dodgeball, youth basketball lessons, open basketball, and floor hockey. NURTURE (Neighborhoods United for Restoration Teaching Upliftment Recreation & Education) Academy is an afterschool program that can help improve the academic performance of school-aged youth in grades K-8. The program’s foundation is centered on four key clubs: Reading, Culture, Debate, and Drama. Students also participate in character education, arts and crafts, and recreational activities that assist in their social development. HOURS: Monday-Friday, 9am-9pm. Senior Meals: Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, 10am-2pm. Summer program runs from July through mid-August. NURTURE Academy starts in September.

Free summer camp for pre-K to 6th grade students who attended Buffalo Public Schools, charter schools, agency schools, or universal pre-K programs during the 2024-2025 school year. Camp is in session July 7th - August 15th, 2025. Camp will include academic support and fun extracurricular activities including field trips, physical activities, and social emotional supports. Enrollment is open from April 16th - June 17th, 2025 at sayyesbuffalo.org/summer. Specific sites may accommodate English Language Learner (ELL) students/families. In 2021, the Boys & Girls Club of East Aurora will offer 3 two-week day camp sessions. Activities include swimming, boating, fishing, obstacle course, ropes challenge course, GaGa Ball, archery, arts and crafts, outdoor cooking, athletics, special events, and more.

The preschool camp focuses on activities that promote socialization, physical education, language development and fun activities like crafts, music movement, nature, storytelling, special events and more. The school age camp includes sports, arts and crafts, group games, music, drama, special events, theme days and character building activities.
