The Parent-Child Home Program provides two home visits a week for families with children ages 2 and 3 years. Each week the home visitor brings the family a book or educational toy that remains with them permanently. The home visitor models parenting techniques, emphasizing verbal interaction and learning through play. The goal is to help parents become their child's first and most important teacher and ensure that these children enter school ready to learn and succeed. Offers courses in computer technology. Sample course offerings include: A+ Certification Core/OS Refresher; Computer Repair; Computer Skills in The Workplace and Advanced Computer Skills in The Workplace. Offers computer, English and GED in Spanish classes, as well as a variety of workshops that focus on interviewing skills, resume writing, safety in the workplace, resident's rights, naturalization preparation, leadership programs for high school students and more.

Provides a summer camp program designed for children with developmental disabilities, which offers sports, arts and crafts and other traditional camp activities, including breakfast and lunch along with transportation to local residents.

Located at the former Frick Estate, a spectacular 145-acre property in Roslyn Harbor in the heart of Long Island's fabled Gold Coast. The main museum building, named in honor of art collectors and philanthropists Arnold and Joan Saltzman, is a three-story Georgian mansion that exemplifies Gold Coast architecture of the late 19th century. In addition to the Arnold & Joan Saltzman Fine Art Building, Nassau County Museum of Art includes the Sculpture Park, Formal Gardens of historic importance, the Pinetum, ponds, woodlands, an architecturally-significant restored trellis, rare specimen trees, and marked walking trails. Serves more than 18,000 Long Island school children and their teachers who visit the museum each year for exhibition tours and art-related activities. Provides a summer program for youth interested in learning or honing their acting and technical skills. The program focuses on reading, speaking, singing, and dancing. Also offers the opportunity for kids to experience the backstage production in making costumes, sets and props, lighting, sound and stage management for the culmination of the summer production.

The children are taught by talented high school, college, and community musicians. Through our Youth Mentorship Program, the youth instructors themselves learn leadership, responsibility, and teaching skills by professional musicians and music educators who serve as mentors and guides.
