Little Explorers - Audubon Community Nature Center

Program is designed for children 3-8 explore and learn about nature with an adult. During this program there is a brief lesson, nature walk, snack, and craft. Each month, the visitors will learn about a different nature based topic.

Public library. Offers 35 public access computers (3 dedicated to OPAC) and 6 public access laptops (library card required), which includes a computer lab of 12 computers and an express computer with an attached scanner. Color printing available for 25 cents and black and white printing for 10 cents a page. Also offers a meeting room, computer training by appointment, and other programming. Serves as a Cooling Center for individuals during times of excessive heat. Always call ahead to make sure a Cooling Center is open before going there.

Uses guided tours, hands-on art workshops, and discussions specifically designed to meet the needs and interests of each participating group. Recreation - Summit Center

Therapeutic Summer Programs are provided for youth with DD, ADHD, or Autism entering first grade through age 16. These are 5-week day programs; no overnight care provided. Community Connections: A replication of an evidence-based summer program for children and adolescents (entering first grade through age 16) with high-functioning autism spectrum disorder (Asperger's, high-functioning autism, and PDD-NOS) or other disabilities. Provides children with intensive training, experience, and practice in social and emotional skills allowing them to make friends and learn to better connect with peers, siblings, teachers, and parents/caregivers. Although designed to support children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, a clinical diagnosis is not required to participate as long as the child demonstrates social-communication difficulties. Program targets development of key social competencies using direct instruction, fun and engaging practice exercises, and recreational activities in a summer camp format.
