Parent Promoters can show parents how to engage with their child in the different developmental areas and provide parents with age-appropriate activities to do with their child. - Positive Solutions for Families (PSF): An evidence-based curriculum designed for parents with children ages 3-7. Assists parents in learning positive and effective techniques to promote their children's social and emotional development. Involves only the parents and facilitators; child care offered to participants when needed. Typically offers one session per week for six weeks. - Parents Interacting with Infants (PIWI): A parent-child playgroup designed for parents and their children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old. Offers a fun, interactive setting where parents can play with their children, learn about their child's development, and build connections with other parents. Typically offers one session per week for five weeks. PSF and PIWI can be offered in a group setting within a homeless shelter, domestic violence program, at an agency, or in the community. They can also be offered one-on-one with a parent and Parent Promoter at an agency or in a home.

Assistance is available, when funds exist, for food and hygiene products, typically in the form of food vouchers/gift cards. Provides financial assistance, budgeting, advocacy, and referral. Counseling offered for depression, stress and anxiety, grief and loss, communication issues, problem solving, family transitions, and parent/child conflicts. Offers grief support groups and Domestic Violence Victims weekly support groups. Confidential location of the Domestic Violence Victims group is shared with women when they call for information. Other support groups may be formed based on need or upon request.

Provides a virtual program by Zoom designed to help separating, divorced and never married parents focus on the special needs of their children during the reorganization of their family. Parents will learn how parenting apart affects children and adults, how parents can emotionally support their children during this transition, effective parenting apart strategies, and legal information.

Program is designed as a practical approach to help parents be more positive with their children and to use more effective discipline. Program consists of six two-hour group sessions led by a facilitator and parent trainer. Parents are taught skills that help them encourage positive behavior, discourage negative behavior, and teach alternatives to problem behavior.

Works with dads--biological fathers, adoptive fathers, father figures, and grandfathers--of children up to 24 years old. Provides life skills training, life coach services, employability skills training, parenting skills training, 24/7 DADS class, and MoneySmart program to benefit dads. Works with dads both in the community and in incarceration. Incentives are provided to complete the training.
