* Uses personal visits, group connections, developmental screenings, and linkages to community resources to support parent participants in becoming more aware of early child-development information. Includes: Monthly Personal Visits usually conducted in the home. Elements of each visit include parent/child interaction, family well-being, and development-centered parenting Group Connections offer opportunities for families to meet and develop supportive networks. They are offered at various times and locations to allow wider access to families. They address the needs of expectant participants and parents of newborns Screenings are provided to help ensure early detection of any potential health or early-learning issues or developmental delays Resource Networking and connection to available community resources appropriate to the family's needs

Support group for anyone (man or woman) who has been a victim or survivor of domestic violence.

* Provides resources, care, advocacy, and support for fathers and father figures in the Black community.* Brings fathers and father figures together to build skills and to support each other in their critical roles as parents. * Offers re-entry program for fathers.

This program supports parents and caregivers of children and adolescents with behavioral healthneeds. The goal of family support is to empower parents and caregivers as informed decision-makers information, goal-planning and emotional support for parents/caregivers, parent/caregiver advocacy, service coordination, and family recreation events.in navigating complex child-serving systems. Services include but are not limited to education and in their child(ren)'s care, reduce family stress, educate families about mental health, and support them

Offers free support, information and educational program open to all adoptive familes and realative caregivers who have guardiianship of children.

Provides voluntary in-home visitation, pregnancy and parenting education, and support and resources to military families with children birth to 3 years of age.

Offers classes for new and expectant mothers, caregivers, and family members. Classes cover subject areas such as expectant parents, newborn care, breastfeeding, and new siblings.

* Provides comprehensive, long term case management and counseling services to young parents and their children. Services include: Home visiting Parenting education Employment services Education support Peer support groups

Provides a home visiting program to pregnant and parenting mothers with toddlers to assist them with parenting skills. Parents are also assisted in securing medical services for their children along with educational and employment opportunities for themselves.

* Offers support services to families who are pregnant or have children. Client Advocate support post-abortion recovery/healing. Referrals. Pregnancy tests. Educational classes, parenting classes. Baby clothes, maternity clothing, diapers and formula.

* Provides mental health counseling service: Family, parent, individual, group, couple, parent-child psychotherapy. Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Interpersonal psychotherapy for depression.* Offers a therapeutic after-school program for at-risk children.* Supports pregnant people and children birth to age 17.

Parenting Skills: eight hands-on, interactive sessions to foster family communication skills, such as encouragement, can do, choices, self-control and respecting feelings. FREE classes, snacks and childcare. Parenting Styles: 7 weeks, sessions on parenting styles and discipline, child development, cultural influences and environmental issues. Parenting Skills Facilitated Visits: pairs parenting educator with parent(s) and children working with the Tompkins County Department of Social Services' Children's Services Unit. Parenting Educator Facilitator Trainings: annual session for those using the curricula to increase quality parenting education in our community. Tompkins County Coalition for Families: ad hoc group of organizations and citizens creating a supportive community for children and families. Tompkins Families! Community specific programming in Dryden, Enfield, Groton, and Newfield. TF can also serve other communities in addition to the ones listed here. Thriving with Your Spirited Child: a seven week program with information about temperaments. Develop effective strategies for dealing with temper tantrums and power struggles.

Healthy Kids is a joint endeavor between Samaritan Hospital and Rensselaer County Department of Social Services This is a unique home visitation program. The program is voluntary and free to participants. Family support workers provide a range of services, including childbirth education, infant care and child development, family planning options, assistance with obtaining transportation, meal planning, and referral to community agencies.

Delivers high-quality interventions, improves family functioning, supports healthy relationships, and decreases the potential for out-of-home-placement. Family Partners and Family Aides provide direct family support, parent skills training, case management support, and parenting education opportunities. The PSI program is modeled after the 3SI program, and offers all the services that 3SI offers, incorporating supervised visits for youth transitioning home after foster care.

Provides short-term services to maintain children at home, who without this program would require out-of-home placement. Referrals for other services and linkages to other appropriate supports are made as needed.

Provides social work, advocacy, support systems, information services, family training and counseling regarding consumer's disabilities

Assists families in reducing children's risk of foster care placement and provide supports necessary to reunify or develop an alternate permanency plan for children when out of home placement becomes necessary.

Assists women to achieve a level of independence, higher competencies in personal initiative, health and wellness, furthering education assistance, parenting skill, life skill and employment skills.

Provides six 2-hour skill sessions for parents of children of all ages including effective praise, staying calm and teaching self-control to children, building a close parent-child relationship, and giving clear messages with expectations and consequences.

Provides a short-term and in-home prevention program for support and skill-building services to families with children at risk of being removed from the home. Children at risk may exhibit behaviors such as assaulting others, running away, engaging in theft, vandalism, or drug abuse, and may be disruptive in school.

Services include, but are not limited to, strengthening the family unit by teaching adaptive parenting and safety skills to parents-guardians, teaching self-management, decision-making skills with identified youth, assistance with transportation, budget, and housing, and case planning for child development.
