Christmas Basket Sign-Up Information for 2023:

Provides assistance to families by helping them find presents for their children for the holiday season.

Eligibility requirements:
Any individuals and families that meet or fall below 150% of current Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Required Documentation:

• Photo ID for ALL adults in the house
• Birth certificates for ALL children
• Proof if Income for One Month
• Proof of Address
• Proof of Custody/Guardianship (if applicable)

Applicants must have all of the documents listed above or they will not be seen and will be asked to return during another sign-up time.
There will not be any other dates to apply after those listed above. Anyone seeking assistance after November 15th will be referred to another agency.

Interested individuals and families can call 518-725-4119 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 1 PM - 3 PM or Friday, 10 AM - 12 Noon.

* Provides Easter baskets, Thanksgiving baskets, Christmas baskets, and Holiday Gifts/Toys to families.* Accepts Holiday donations.

Provides assistance to families with children to get them toys for Christmas. Adults must provide an ID for every child they want to receive a toy for and must have custody of that child.

Helps in finding housing, clothing, furniture, emergency food, child care, etc. Referral to counseling, self-help groups, social services, legal aid. Offers Thanksgiving assistance. Offers Christmas assistance of family food packages and clothing gifts for children. Represents rural needs on area agency boards and committees.

Offers assistance with Thanksgiving and Christmas.

* Provides Thanksgiving and Christmas meal boxes for families. * Provides holiday gifts, filled Christmas stocking, socks, clothing items and gift cards.

Assists individuals and families with giving food, toys and gifts at Christmas and Thanksgiving for those in need.

Toys for Tots' goal is to provide two toys to each child. Orders are filled with the toys we have on board when the order is requested. Organizations must coordinate date and time of toy pickup.

* Provides a holiday basket. * Provides holiday toys (Special Santa Program) for children under the age of 18.

Manages the Toys for Tots program for families in need who reside in the Deposit Central School District. Low-income children (18 yrs or younger).To register your child call our office at 607-467-4000, or stop in during our office hours, registration begins Friday, October 17 and ends on Sunday, November 30.You must live within the Deposit school district. Be prepared to provide ID and proof of residency, if asked.The child must live with you, and be in your care. They must be 18 years of age or younger.We will ask you for your contact information and the following:The child's nameAgeGenderThree gifts/interests, the total of which equaling no more than $60Pick-up date is December 13, 2025If for whatever reason you cannot make it, and have no one else, call us at least one day before the gift pick up, and we can make arrangements. If you simply fail to show up, your gifts will be forfeited! We do not want your children to go without gifts, so please call us if there is an issue.

Provides a food pantry, clothing, community programs and referral services to those in need in the local community. Thanksgiving morning and Christmas morning, warm meals and presents are personally delivered to these families.

* Penfield Hope provides holiday assistance for families. One large shopping bag per child with clothing, toys and books.

Coordinates a Christmas program that provides presents for children from low-income families. Registration available from October 3rd to December 9th.

Giac's annual holiday "giving tree" provides gifts for children and teens participating in GIAC programs. Donors choose a tag from the tree with a child's age and gender; purchase a gift and bringing the unwrapped item to GIAC by a specified date.

Offers Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday food baskets and Christmas gifts/toys and clothing for children (infant to 18 years). Any low to moderate income Owego residents are welcome to sign up the first two weeks of October for all holiday programs.
