Provides holiday assistance to Veterans and their families that are in need. Assistance may include gifts/toys, items from wishlists composed by Veterans and their families, household cleaning products, toiletries, and assistance purchasing food for holiday meals. Gift requests should be kept to $100 per child. ##Veteran##

Provides recreational activities for children. Summer residential camp provided for children ages 5-12 years old.

Member of the WNY Holiday Partnership which provides toys and gifts to low income families for the winter holidays. Gifts are pre-bagged. Gifts will not be distributed in time for Christmas; they are distributed at a Three Kings Day celebration on January 4th, 2025, at the Agustin Pucho Olivencia Community Center at 261 Swan Street, *not* at the Belle Center where applications were accepted.

Provides Thanksgiving turkey baskets, Christmas meal baskets, and Christmas toys during the holiday season for low income residents of Orleans County.

Provides food and basic necessities to the residents of Broome County who are in need. Emergency home deliveries may be available to home-bound individuals due to an illness, disability, age, seniors who are unable to operate a vehicle and to those who are un-housed and in need of food and other resources.

Coordinates interested community members in adopting a local families to provide food, clothing, and gift during the holiday.

* Provides Thanksgiving food boxes for Wayne County residents in need.

Provides used toys to families that would not be eligible for new toy distribution (grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, parents with older children), to provide a gift to their family memebers.

Provides new toys to more than 600 children in Schenectady County ages infant to 12. Anyone wishing to donate a new toy may bring it directly to The Salvation Army.

Provides assistance to families by helping them find presents for their children for the holiday season.

Eligibility requirements:
Any individuals and families that meet or fall below 150% of current Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Required Documentation:

• Photo ID for ALL adults in the house
• Birth certificates for ALL children
• Proof if Income for One Month
• Proof of Address
• Proof of Custody/Guardianship (if applicable)

Applicants must have all of the documents listed above or they will not be seen and will be asked to return during another sign-up time.
There will not be any other dates to apply after those listed above. Anyone seeking assistance after November 15th will be referred to another agency.

Thanksgiving basket orders

Offers Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas baskets for Deposit area residents. To register for baskets: Visit the Deposit Food Pantry on a Thursday 3pm - 6pm; Call the pantry and leave a message with name, address and number of people in household; Or speak to your pastor.Individuals who recieved a Thanksgiving basket do not need to re-register.
