Provides help with the prevention of placing a child out of the family home or ensuring the successful return of a child to the family home from an out-of-home placement. Program staff help families alleviate the immediate crisis and improve family functioning so that the risk of placement or re-placement is reduced.
Provides youth and their families with intensive support in the home, school, and community. Services include case management, crisis intervention services, and skill development.

A Family Assessment Response helps ensure that children are safe, while at the same time setting aside the issue of fault and negative labels for parent and caretakers. NOTE: The location 18 Sussex Street in Port Jervis is the Employment Training Center. However, they will accept documents to be submitted there for Department of Social Services.
Provides support and assistance for individuals at risk of losing custody of their child, have lost custody of their child, or are in need of parental support.
Provides supplemental instruction for students who are having difficulty with their coursework or who want to get more out of their regular educational program.

Adult Protective services works with individuals 18 years and older, with physical and/or mental impairments, and no support system to help meet basic needs. Designed to prevent out-of-home place for youth. Focuses on at-risk youth ages 7 to 15 years residing in Jefferson County. Assists youth and families reach their health, safety, and service needs to refuse the risk of child abuse and neglect.
* Provides the Regular Intensive KO/ACT Program which offers wraparound services to keep families together in situations where children with a mental health diagnosis are at imminent risk of out of home placement. Services are team based and include:

Works with Oswego County families who have youth at risk for possible placement due to issues related to PINS or JD behaviors. Offers casework services to assist families in identifying issues that place children at risk and developing goals to address those concerns. Provides both home-based and school-based counseling services, crisis intervention, advocacy, and referral to other support services in the community.
Provides two-hour group training sessions to families who have children who meet HCBS waiver eligibility requirements under age 18. Topics vary and are geared toward families who have children with developmental disabilities. Call for more information.

Offers long-term psychological support for at-risk children and their parents who have mental health and parenting issues. Provides dyadic therapy (working with the child and the parent) in cases involving child maltreatment, foster care, and issues involving the criminal justice system.
