A device which the person carries, or wears on their person, at all times, has a HELP button which summons emergency services within seconds, 24 hours a day.

Easy to use medical alarm devices, bracelets and pendants give users push-of-a-button access to trained Emergency Care Specialists and all the medical services they need 365 days a year.
This program provides an evaluation team to assess health and social needs of senior citizens and then recommendations are made for obtaining necessary services. Coordination of services with a physician is made if applicable, along with community service resources. Includes Mall Walkers exercise program at the Galleria, medication awareness program, help in accessing community information and help with filing insurance claims. Also offers caregivers support groups, emergency response devices and telephone reassurance.

Office for the Aging offers the Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program (EISEP) that provides individuals with both case management and non-medical in-home services, such as meal preparation, and assistance with household chores and shopping. This program is available to those who are income eligible, and is designed to either delay or eliminate the need for nursing home or institutional long term care.

Respite Care Registries
Provides case management to help seniors if they are overwhelmed with managing their health care needs. Also offers in-home assessments for seniors who may need extra help at home by providing in-home personal care services such as bathing, dressing, personal hygiene and mobility assistance or light housekeeping, shopping etc. This program may also provide assistance in paying for Lifeline service (personal emergency response system).
Provides weekly programs at the Batavia Senior Center. Some of the programs offered are bridge, line dancing, cribbage, arthritis chair-based exercise, quilters, and painting classes. New groups are always being organized. Special programs such as 55 Alive Driver Refresher Course, educational, health, and informational programs are also offered. Day trips to concerts, exhibits, musical productions, restaurants, and areas of special interest are also scheduled in the spring, summer, and fall. Senior groups and clubs exist in most areas of the county which offer luncheons and pot luck dinners. Most groups offer programs of interest, entertainment, day trips, and other recreational activities.
