Provides mentoring, advocacy, counseling, tutoring, problem solving, school orientation, mediation, in class support assistance, parent/teacher conferences, homework assistance, crisis intervention, translation and interpretation.

Program combines case management and career counseling to ensure that refugee households struggling to achieve economic self-sufficiency during their first six months in the US do not succumb to homelessness, hunger, and/or long-term poverty. Connects refugees to basic needs service providers and employers in order to minimize income vulnerability and attain economic self-sufficiency at the end of the federally mandated resettlement period. Works with the Adult Education Division of Buffalo Public Schools to provide free ESL (English as a Second Language) classes to refugees ages 21 and older. Incorporates financial literacy coaching and training into our career services to provide clients with the tools they need for economic advancement and a bright future.
