Child care and learning center combining a developmentally appropriate curriculum with an environment that encourages exploration, discovery, and independence for children with and without disabilities. NYS DSS day care license. Child care is provided from 18 months to 5 years, while before and after school care is available for children up to 12 years who attend the Maryvale schools. Each toddler and preschool classroom is staffed by an Early Childhood Specialist, a NY State Certified Special Education teacher, and 4 classroom aides. Children have the opportunity to attend weekly art, music, and gym classes. Art and gym classes are taught by NY State certified teachers. Music is provided by an accredited music therapist.
Full day camps are available on most holidays, vacation and conference days. The schedule follows the Southwestern School calendar. Traditional activities include swimming, theme activities, arts and crafts, group games, trips, and more.

Offers free drop-in after-school programs at two sites where children do group activities, receive homework help, read books, hang out with friends, and have an after-school meal.
LEAP is a free Learning Enrichment After-School Program provided by Independent Living, Inc. that serves individuals with developmental disabilities from Newburgh and neighboring communities.
Offers an after school recreational program that includes art, computer skills and open gym geared towards elementary school children. Also offering counseling and dance classes. Additional classes are provided to high school students and young adults regarding making good choices and job coaching.
Provides constructive early learning experiences for infants, toddlers and preschoolers as well as after-school and summer enrichment for school-aged children. Trained, credentialed staff deliver nurturing care in safe and fun environment designed to support developmentally appropriate play, exploration and learning. Breakfast, lunch and a snack are provided each day.
Offers physical fitness activities for both adults and kids (basketball, soccer, flag football, Swimming, and more), as well as leadership development, active older adult’s programs and trips, exercise classes (yoga, cardio, strength training, water exercise), summer camps, before and after school child care, preschool programs, teen program including activity center, home school physical education, and various health and wellness programs. Off-site swimming pool offers open swim year-round, lap and family swims, lifeguard training, and swim lessons.

Provides a licensed day care center for children with a focus on intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and physical growth in each child, within their individual capabilities. Morning day care is available for school age children with school bus pick-up. Also offers school age care for summer and longer school vacations. Care includes nutritious meals and snacks.
Before and after school programs for children in the community. These programs are only available when school is in sessions. Unavailable on days school is dismissed due to inclement weather.
Offers part time (school schedules) and full day (corporate schedules) programs, including a Before School Breakfast Club for students attending White Plains schools, and after school and vacation day programs. Offered September through June, and takes place from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (hours may vary for high school programming). It consists of one hour of homework support (Power Hour), activities in arts and crafts, recreation, STEM, and social/emotional learning, along with Boys & Girls Club of America curricula (Triple Play, Smart Girls, Smart Kids, Healthy Habits, among others). Options for 3 and 5 days/week.
After school care program for children with disabilities 5-11 years of age.
Provides after school programs for school-age children which is both educational and fun. Children work on homework, play games, read, arts and crafts activities and more. The KinderTime program is for Kindergarten students with extended hours.

After school recreation center that provide supervised care for school-age children following the end of the school day.
Provide supervised care for school-age children prior to the beginning and/or following the end of the school day, on school holidays and teacher work/conference days, during school breaks and, in some cases, during the summer when school is not in session in situation where their parents are working or otherwise engaged. While some extended day care programs provide a variety of activities for children in the program, they are not designed to provide specialty instruction such as art or music lessons, or organized sports.
Offers a non-profit center located on the campus of Farmingdale State College. We provide a secure and stimulating environment for children from 8 weeks through prekindergarten. Priority is given to children of students, faculty and staff. Community children are also welcome to attend our center. At the Children's Center at Farmingdale State we use the Creative Curriculum for infants through Pre-school. This curriculum encompasses all areas of child development while incorporating all areas of early learning, (pre-writing, pre-math, pre-science, early literacy, music & movement). Teachers in the classroom are facilitators and nurturers, providing children with age appropriate activities, encouragement and support. Our Pre-K program provides children with the skills necessary for kindergarten. Our state of the art facility offers heated floors throughout the classrooms, and central air for the warm summer months. Our indoor gross motor room offers an alternative to outside play when the weather is not cooperative. Call for more detailed information regarding the childcare center.
