Eddy DayBreak is an innovative adult day service that helps improve quality of life for seniors who still live independently in the community, or who are cared for by family members. DayBreak programs offer a full range of health and social services to help older adults with physical, emotional, or mental impairments, or who require supervision and/or medical care. Services enable older adults to remain independent for as long as possible, while allowing caregivers relief from the responsibilities of at-home caregiving so they can fulfill work or other obligations.

Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center and Eddy Alzheimer's Center at Hawthorne Ridge are the only medical model adult day services in the Capital Region designed specifically for older adults with memory loss who are still living in their own homes or in the community with caregivers. Adult Day Programs offer a full range of health and social services to help older adults with physical, emotional, or mental impairments, or who require supervision and/or medical care. Services enable older adults to remain independent for as long as possible, while allowing caregivers relief from the responsibilities of at-home care giving so they can fulfill work or other obligations. Transportation is provided in geographic area. Lunch and snacks are also provided for participants.

Offers a program for someone who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s, or another degenerative illness. "Our Space" is a social model of adult day services established in 1987 for Nassau County residents over the age of 60 who are frail and memory impaired. Caregivers are provided with respite, education and support. All programs require an assessment to ensure proper placement. Volunteer opportunities are also available. Provides both a medical model adult day program with speech, occupational and physical therapies, recreation and counseling, and a social model day program with socialization, nutrition and supportive services, including nurse supervision and transportation for both programs.
Offers a variety of social and recreational activities geared for those who have suffered a stroke or have physical disabilities. Activities include games, discussions, creative activities, holiday activities, picnics, group speech therapy or individual computer programs to improve language skills, seated physical exercise, guest speakers, field trips, dance and musical events. NOTE: Participants need to bring their own lunch, but snacks and beverages are provided
