Information available from Adoption Information Registry (AIR): non-identifying: adopted person or his/her biological sibling can receive information about birth parents even if birth parents are not registered with (AIR) or consent to sharing. Information includes general appearance, religion, ethnicity, race, education, occupation, adoption agency name, facts and circumstances about adoption's nature and cause. identifying: parent(s) and child(ren) both registered and given consent. Adoptees and birth parents or adoptees and biological siblings can share current names and addresses. If only one parent signed surrender agreement or consented to adoption, non-registered parent's permission not needed to exchange identifying information between adoptee and registered birth parent. medical: helps adoptees determine if they have higher risk of some diseases. Birth parents can register medical and psychological information any time after adoption. Adoptee must be registered to receive medical/psychological information.
