Provides a food pantry for Veterans, the Military and their families, and families in need. LI Cares hosts Military Appreciation Tuesdays in Huntington Station, Lindenhurst, and Freeport which gives veterans and their families access to food, personal care items, household products, pet food, and school supplies. Also veterans are provided with information and resources pertaining to veteran special benefits. LI Cares also operates a Mobile Pantry which delivers nutritious groceries to homebound, disabled veterans unable to access their local pantries.

Our newest program is our Pet Pantry and we are proud to be helping EVERY member of the family. We offer pet food to family’s experiencing financial challenges because “Pets are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”
Pets Alive rescues and rehabilitates animals who have been victims of neglect or abuse by providing shelter. Donations accepted, volunteers needed. Adoptions are also offered.
