Provides a food pantry for Veterans, the Military and their families, and families in need. LI Cares hosts Military Appreciation Tuesdays in Huntington Station, Lindenhurst, and Freeport which gives veterans and their families access to food, personal care items, household products, pet food, and school supplies. Also veterans are provided with information and resources pertaining to veteran specific benefits. LI Cares also operates a Mobile Pantry which delivers nutritious groceries to homebound, disabled veterans unable to access their local pantries.

Offers support services to community members in financial crisis, including provision of food, pet food, clothing, household items, medical equipment exchange, limited prescription assistance, and medical transportation assistance. Other services include a monthly Mobile Food Pantry (open to anyone), budgeting assistance/financial education, and more. Will work to meet other needs where support is not available in the community. Provides backpacks filled with school supplies each year to low income children, K-6th grade, while supplies last. Supplies are given out at the Cornerstone Building located at 204 North Main Street in Perry, NY; call 585-237-2600 for questions. Donations accepted and volunteer opportunities available. The Angel Action Holiday Christmas Program provides clothing and gifts for children of all ages through a shopping event open to parents and grandparents. Applications for the 2023 Christmas Program accepted until end of day on November 30th.

Provides pet food to pet owners in need. Supply and quantities vary but may include dog, cat, puppy, and kitten food as well as cat litter and treats. Food is intended for periodic assistance only. Partners with the Salvation Army Food Bank in Jamestown, making clients of the Food Bank eligible to receive pet food once a month as part of their regular food assistance, as available.

Provides food pantry to Sag Harbor residents every Tuesday. Also provides personal hygiene products and emergency pet food. Also provides recipients with information and organize demonstrations showing how to prepare cost-efficient, nutritious meals, and information on how to access social services.

Provides the community with educational and pet companionship opportunities as well as a food pantry designed to assist and keep struggling families and their pets together by providing pet food to qualifying applicants.
A food pantry and soup kitchen that provides food and pet food to people in need. Located at Phoenicia Methodist Church on Church Street.
Offers a diverse range of community services for people suffering from hunger or food insecurity. It provides emergency food, clothing, personal care items and household items, including those for pets. Outreach specialists are available for employment searches, as well. PHS works with Putnam CAP and other groups to help those who are having a difficult time taking care of their pets. When we can help we do.
* Offers shelter and placement service for homeless and stray animals.* Offers low cost spay/neuter services of owned dogs and cats to low-income and qualified individuals.* Provides temporary care (30 days) of animals for qualifying pet owners. Pet owners receiving support/social services, or leaving a domestic violence situation, veteran or active military duty, victim of house-fire or other disaster and working with the Red Cross.* Offers a variety of humane education programs that include lessons and activities that foster an appreciation for animal companions.* Lost and found pet listings, holds stray pets.* Provides pet food on an emergency basis if stocked from donations* Offers a Pet Behavior Help Line volunteers respond within 24 hours.* Provides dog and cat food to local food cupboards.* Provides low cost spay/neuter services for feral (stray, un-owned, non-domesticated) cats.
