LI Cares hosts Military Appreciation Tuesdays in Huntington Station, Lindenhurst, and Freeport which gives veterans and their families access to food, personal care items, household products, pet food, and school supplies. Also veterans are provided with information and resources pertaining to veteran specific benefits. LI Cares also operates a Mobile Pantry which delivers nutritious groceries to homebound, disabled veterans unable to access their local pantries.

Provides food pantry to Sag Harbor residents every Tuesday. Also provides personal hygiene products and emergency pet food. Also provides recipients with information and organize demonstrations showing how to prepare cost-efficient, nutritious meals, and information on how to access social services.

Our pet food pantry (including kitty litter) is available to those in our community who need it. Call the shelter at 518-891-0017 if you need assistance and we will schedule a time for you to pick up supplies.

All adopted animals receive a certificate for one free veterinary examination.* Provides temporary housing via foster homes for pets of households in crisis.
