Supports the continuing education of students interested in the field of forensic science. SCOME has opportunities that can allow interns to work side by side with forensic pathologists, toxicologists, forensic death investigators, and other Crime Lab professionals (including forensic scientists specializing in drug chemistry, trace evidence, biological sciences [DNA analysis], firearms examination, and questioned document examination. The internship program can allow students to observe an autopsy examination, assist in the forensic laboratories, and gain knowledge of forensic investigative techniques. Coordinates employment opportunities for older adults who are looking for full or part-time jobs.

A non-profit agency which serves the economically disadvantaged, dislocated workers, displaced homemakers, and those with other barriers to employment with employment opportunities. Offerings include basic computer skills, resume writing, career pathways, career services, summer youth employment programs and veterans services among others. Keeps a listing of available jobs by local businesses and agencies, also helps individuals with resume writing, interview skills and refers them to other agencies for other specific employment needs.

Offers convenient job search services to all job seekers. Current Job leads available daily. Interviewing for jobs, job referral, employment counseling, employment workshops, referral to training including TAA (Trade Adjustment Act). Every Career Center has dedicated staff to help assess the needs, skills, and interests of job seekers. Job seekers are guided through a step-by-step approach to the job search. Veterans Services: Offers Priority of Service to veterans and their eligible spouses. Provides information, psychoeducation, coping skills education, wrap-around supports, assessments, and referrals/linkage to resources for anyone in need through a free and confidential helpline and resource center, with the goal of empowering City of Buffalo residents to explore their options as they recover from recent traumatic events. Staff are readily available to talk, listen, provide emotional support, and teach stress reduction techniques and positive coping strategies via helpline or in person at the resource center, with no appointment necessary. Staff can also provide assessment and referrals/linkages to housing information, jobs, and any further community resources needed.
