**During the COVID pandemic, the EOC switchboard is staffer part time from 7:30am - 1pm Mon-Fri with no voicemail option. If you are unable to reach a staff member, please call back during the hours indicated. ** Offers a comprehensive year round program including participation in local youth councils and a County-wide youth council. Summer programs include youth employment, leisure time and recreational/cultural activities. Also offers a Martial Arts Program, career explorations, Martin Luther King Scholarship which is given annually to deserving students, and the Kearse Soccer Clinic. Year round individual and family counseling offered. Tutorial and homework assistance is also available as well as workshops on substance prevention, underage drinking, teenage pregnancy, and HIV/AIDS.

The Youth Services Program provides employment skills development which includes how to write a resume, prepare for an interview, time management and conflict resolution. This program also includes a job match service that provides information about jobs available in the local community and support services for the students and adults who care for (and about) them. This program is located at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake and Scotia-Glenville High Schools and the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Community Human Services building.
Offers middle school and high school students a fun and safe place to hangout after school. Youth get assistance with homework, are provided a healthy snack and evening meal, participate in unique learning activities, go on field trips, hear from dynamic speakers, and volunteer in the community.School Supplies can be picked up at The Place from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 2; Tuesday, September 6; and Wednesday, September 7, or until supplies last.
