Summer programs include youth employment, leisure time and recreational/cultural activities. Also offers a Martial Arts Program, career explorations, Martin Luther King Scholarship which is given annually to deserving students, and the Kearse Soccer Clinic. Year round individual and family counseling offered. Tutorial and homework assistance is also available as well as workshops on substance prevention, underage drinking, teenage pregnancy, and HIV/AIDS.

Offers a ten week summer course for college students in the field of journalism. A letter from the college they are attending is required along with students transcript. Works to provide youth with a voice in local government; expand prevention, intervention, and counseling services for youth; provide youth workforce development and opportunities through creative partnerships; and serve at-risk youth through the Youth Counseling Program, Anti-Crime Program, and Code of Conduct Program. Also facilitates the Mayor's Summer reading Challenge and Summer Youth Employment program.

The Youth Services Program provides employment skills development which includes how to write a resume, prepare for an interview, time management and conflict resolution. This program also includes a job match service that provides information about jobs available in the local community and support services for the students and adults who care for (and about) them. This program is located at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake and Scotia-Glenville High Schools and the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Community Human Services building.

Offers middle school and high school students a fun and safe place to hangout after school. Youth get assistance with homework, are provided a healthy snack and evening meal, participate in unique learning activities, go on field trips, hear from dynamic speakers, and volunteer in the community.School Supplies can be picked up at The Place from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 2; Tuesday, September 6; and Wednesday, September 7, or until supplies last.

Provides skill building and credentialing in order to help participants (18-21 yrs) obtain diploma/certificates, get a job, and strengthen the local workforce.
