* Home Health Aide Core Class provides training involving a 75-hour training program which is comprised of 59 classroom hours and 16 supervised practical training (SPT) hours. The SPT will occur in the skills laboratory (8 hours) and in a client care setting (8 hours) under the supervision of an approved Nurse Instructor. * Personal Care Aide to a Home Health Aide - the Home Health Aide Training Program provides 35 hours of training. * Transitional class for Home Health Aides involves classroom hours and skills lab assessment. There are no set hours required for this upgrading program. HCR's Supervising Nurse Instructor may exercise discretion in determining the amount of time required to conduct the Transitional and/or Competency class. It is estimated to take between four (4) and twelve (12) hours based on the level of experience of the aide. * Training for Nurses, Therapists and Care Managers provides ongoing education/training completed through orientation, in-services (Home Health Aide's included), team meetings, and competency days.

Course offerings include: Blueprint Reading for the Construction Trades; OSHA 10-Hour for Construction Certification; OSHA 30-Hour for Construction Safety Certification and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Safety Certification. Provides short, non-credit programs focused on helping unemployed, underemployed, and career changing individuals enter manufacturing careers (Welding, CNC/Machining, Industrial Maintenance Technician, BAS, HVAC etc.). Students who enter the programs do not need a high school diploma and the course fees are often entirely or partially covered by grants, scholarships and other funding sources. JCC Career Services will also support these students in their efforts to find a job. At the end of several programs, a workshop is held that leads students through resume building and interview skills. Workforce Development invites local manufacturing companies to interview students on campus at the end of some of the programs (welding, machining and industrial maintenance). Students have access to JCC Career Services for a year after the completion of their program.

Offers career technical training in more than 100 career areas. Students receive housing, meals, basic health care, a living allowance, training, and preparation for a career.

* Prepares students for entry into the profession of Nursing. Students receive Associate in Applied Science degree in Nursing and are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).* Offers a balance in general education and nursing courses provided in the classroom, nursing laboratory, and a variety of clinical settings. * Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

A job training and placement program which trains local youth from low income families to be landscapers or stone masons, with work placement when they complete the course.

Provides on-the-job training in warehouse skills technology for at risk individuals at Long Island Cares Food Bank. Basic vocational skills, job search, and job placement assistance included.
