Hospicare & Palliative Care Services serves residents of Tompkins and Cortland counties.Palliative care program provides specialized medical care that focuses on relieving symptoms and stress at any stage of a serious illness. The goal of palliative care is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family. Palliative care is provided by a specially-trained team of doctors, nurses, and other specialists who work together with a patient's other doctors to provide an extra layer of support. makes people comfortable in the last six months of their lives services are provided in homes, in acute and chronic care facilities, and at agency six-bed residence. Following a patient's death, supporting the family with 13 months of bereavement services. bereavement support services to anyone in our service area who is grieving the death of a loved one, whether or not they died on hospice.
Provides a residence for individuals with irreversible illness who are within the last three months of their lives and who can no longer safely remain at home, or an alternative for those who do not want to spend their final days in a hospital or nursing home setting. Offers a focus on quality of life through holistic hospice care addressing the resident's physical, spiritual, emotional, and social needs.
