DBCH provides financial assistance to income eligible parents of children with chronic illness or physical disabilities, for diagnosis, evaluation and treatment programs.

Advocacy, emergency assistance, education and outreach for persons living with AIDS/HIV and their caregivers. Prevention and awareness programs. Support groups. Individual, couple and family counseling. Assistance with obtaining appropriate housing. Assistance in enrollment in AIDS Drug Assistance Program ADAP. Financial assistance in emergency situations.

The Foundation provides financial assistance to eligible patients to cover certain out-of-pocket health care costs, including, prescription drug coinsurance, co-payments, and deductibles, health insurance premiums and other selected out-of-pocket health care costs.

Emergency financial assistance with rental & utility arrears, camp tuition, vehicle repairs, medical bills, transportation related expenses, copays, clothing & furniture. A scheduled assessment with a Case Manager is required. Assistance can only be accessed one time per year, and the recipient must demonstrate future financial stability.

Assists older adults, with payment for their prescribed medication, who meet income guidelines.

Provides a fund specifically designed for assistance to cancer patients requesting alternative health therapies such as nutritional counseling, natural medicines, acupuncture, chiropractic care, yoga and reflexology. Call for further information.

Provides financial assistance to families of children from birth to age 21 who meet medical and financial eligibility. Call for detailed information regarding all programs and services offered.

Program is for children birth to 21 years of age who have a serious or chronic physical condition and who require health and related services of a type or amount beyond that typically required by children. Assists families in paying for medical expenses and insurance co-pays.

Offers financial assistance for diagnostic medical evaluations, care and treatment for children of low income families with long term or chronic physical disabilities. Services covered include surgical, medical and rehabilitative treatment involving in-hospital care, out-patient care, therapeutic services, and special appliances hearing aids, artificial limbs, wheelchairs, etc..

Provides assistance to uninsured and under-insured individuals in need of diagnostic testing. Focus is on young women.

Offers financial assistance for diagnostic medical evaluations, care and treatment for children of low income families with long term or chronic physical disabilities. Services covered include surgical, medical and rehabilitative treatment involving in-hospital care, out-patient care, therapeutic services, and special appliances hearing aids, artificial limbs, wheelchairs, etc..

Provides financial assistance to eligible individuals diagnosed with arthritis, for various medical-related issues, including funding to help families pay for recreational/hobbies for children with arthritis.

Provides financial assistance for cancer patients that have insurance, but the insurance does not cover co-payments or other cancer-related medical costs.

Provides information and financial assistance to caregivers in order to help them obtain respite care services for urgent or emergency care situations, provides families with grants for adult day care, home health care or overnight care provided by a licensed, accredited agency.

Offers limited financial assistance to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatments, for homecare, childcare, transportation or other treatment-related costs.

Provides medical-based assistance to income eligible individuals and families. Offers assistance with doctor's visits, prescription medications, dental services, emergency medical services, in-patient hospital care, medical transportation, assistance paying for other health insurance programs, and other services necessary to keep individuals and families healthy.

* Provides small grants to patients who meet financial and medical criteria. Grants are provided on first-come first served basis and are distributed until funds are depleted. Qualifications and processes for each fund may differ based on fund requirements.

* Offers support services to individuals with leukemia/lymphoma and myeloma and their families. Copay assistance is available to eligible patients with certain blood cancer diagnoses to help with insurance copayments and insurance premiums. Free education programs and materials. Peer support for patients undergoing treatment. Family support groups. Fundraising. Public awareness and education in public schools.
