The Emily Virkler Boutique: new and used wigs, hats, scarves and post-mastectomy supplies such as prostheses and bras.5. Lending library of books on cancer and other health- and wellness-related topics.6. Community of staff, patients, and caregivers who can relate to what you're going through.7. 1:1 Peer Mentor program that matches clients to someone who has had a similar experience for support.8. Monthly educational "Living Well With Cancer" program.Several types of support groups weekly, including:1. Groups for various types of cancer2. In-person men's breakfast group3. Provides home safety visit to identify hazards or areas of concern, provide environmental information, create a home safety plan with recommendations for improvement, and provide products to carry out hazard reduction. Home visits include an assessment for hazards related to fire safety, lead poisoning prevention, indoor air quality, carbon monoxide poisoning, radon, ventilation and odors, cleaning and clutter, pests, mold/mildew and moisture, asthma, and injury prevention.
The Healthy Neighborhoods Program (HNP) is designed to help improve the personal health, safety, and living conditions of individuals and families to reduce the burden of housing related illness and injury.
Program provides home safety visits include an assessment for hazards related to fire safety, lead poisoning prevention, indoor air quality, carbon monoxide poisoning, radon, ventilation and odors, cleaning and clutter, pests, mold/mildew and moisture, asthma, and injury prevention.
Following the home assessment, staff work with the resident to create a plan to make their home safer. Staff provides information, recommendations, and products to correct or reduce hazards.
