Parents, babysitters, lifeguards, professionals and concerned citizens, learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking.All classes are held at the Binghamton YMCA, ages 14 and older are welcome.

Enforces the Town's laws pertaining to bays, harbors and waterways. Also patrols the Town's beaches and enforce local ordinances, such as for shell fishing.

Assists in promoting boating safety on Long Island. Also assists the Coast Guard in non-law enforcement programs such as public education, vessel safety checks, safety patrols, search and rescue, marine environmental protection, and Coast Guard Academy introduction programs for youth.
