If you are unable to reach a staff member, please call back during the hours indicated. ** Offers a comprehensive year round program including participation in local youth councils and a County-wide youth council. Summer programs include youth employment, leisure time and recreational/cultural activities. Also offers a Martial Arts Program, career explorations, Martin Luther King Scholarship which is given annually to deserving students, and the Kearse Soccer Clinic. Year round individual and family counseling offered. Tutorial and homework assistance is also available as well as workshops on substance prevention, underage drinking, teenage pregnancy, and HIV/AIDS.

Provides Reference, Information and Referral, Reader's Advisory and programs for children from preschool through grade 6. Programs and services include crafts, book discussions and STEM programs. Call for further information.

Provides an alcohol and drug free supervised location for community youth to receive additional help with school work and engage in recreational activities.

Provides academic support, tutoring assistance, and financial assistance for economically and educationally disadvantaged students.

Provides a safe space for for LGBTQ youth to gather and receive support from caring adults through case management services, HIV, STD and Hepatitis C testing, mental health assessments, referrals for LGBTQ affirming clinical services, and referrals to LGBTQ affirming health and human service providers. Provides integrated recreational opportunities, tutoring, homework assistance, and other supports to refugee children.

Provides programming focused on academic enrichment, such as homework help and tutoring, school engagement, dropout prevention, career exploration, and intensive intervention and case management.

Provides after-school tutoring for youth. Offers a summer field trips for youth ages 6 to 14 years old. Coordinates neighborhood advisory board which is open to middle and high school teens.

Provides homework help and recreational activities for children after school. Youth can socialize, play games, enjoy basketball and volleyball, and participate in job training, career exploration, and resume writing. HOURS: Ages 5-12: Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-5:30pm. Ages 13-19: Monday-Friday, 6pm-9pm.

Provides recreation opportunities to students ages 4 years old through 7th grade. Offers a full gym and game room with a variety of table games like pool, foosball, hockey, and ping pong. Homework help is available from staff and volunteers. Provides a recreation program open to students in 6th-12th grade, including basketball, several youth activities, and field trips.

Offers community projects, informal education, after-school tutoring, computer classes, teen groups, drug awareness and substance abuse prevention programs, health and physical education, and youth employment programs, including job counseling and placement.

Advocacy, emergency assistance, case management program. Provides emergency food assistance through referral process. After school homework assistance program. Provides assistance with HEAP and food stamp applications.

Offers tutoring programs at a number of locations. On-Track Tutoring: Available for small group (1:5 ratio) or one-to-one tutoring to any student or any grade in Chautauqua County. SAFARI Program: Available to students at Jamestown High School at no cost to families. Students can schedule small group and one-to-one tutoring sessions during their school day. 21st Century/After School Program: Tutors in this program provide in-person academic interventions to students in the Jamestown district, grades K-8 at Love, Ring, Bush, Lincoln, and Fletcher Elementary Schools and Washington and Jefferson Middle Schools. Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP): Run through Jamestown Community College, this program prepares high school students to succeed in post-secondary education or training. The program helps the class of 2028 Jamestown and Dunkirk students into their first year of college. Services include free tutoring services during and after school, assistance explore personalized college and career possibilities and applying for financial aid. SAT and Regents Prep available depending on enrollment needs. Striders tutors are also available at the Boys & Girls Club after school program, Monday-Thursday.

Youth programming includes an after school program for children 5-10 years old, 4-H programs, homework help, teen and adolescent life skills, youth and teen recreation, summer day camp, and homework assistance. Also provided are youth sports, adult sports and recreation, adult athletic leagues, exercise programs, and a fitness room. Serves as a City of Buffalo Cooling Center during times of extreme heat and as a Warming Center during times of extreme cold. Always call ahead to make sure a Cooling/Warming Center is open before going there.
