Provides food and clothing assistance to those living within the townships of Berne, Knox, Rensselaerville, and Westerlo in Southern Albany County. Special projects include a Back-to-School school supply program and holiday assistance.

Provides food to those in need, as well as school supplies for children (end of August), Thanksgiving baskets, Christmas baskets, and other outreach programs to benefit the community.

Assisting families in need with backpacks.

Offers support services to community members in financial crisis, including provision of food, pet food, clothing, household items, medical equipment exchange, limited prescription assistance, and medical transportation assistance. Other services include a monthly Mobile Food Pantry (open to anyone), budgeting assistance/financial education, and more. Will work to meet other needs where support is not available in the community. Provides backpacks filled with school supplies each year to low income children, K-6th grade, while supplies last. Supplies are given out at the Cornerstone Building located at 204 North Main Street in Perry, NY; call 585-237-2600 for questions. Donations accepted and volunteer opportunities available. The Angel Action Holiday Christmas Program provides clothing and gifts for children of all ages through a shopping event open to parents and grandparents. Applications for the 2023 Christmas Program accepted until end of day on November 30th.

Provides free school supplies for low income families in the communities.

Food pantry available by appointment on Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 am-2:00 pm by appointment. School Supplies are also available seasonally, please call for further information in time for September.

The program provides a backpack and essential school supplies to low-income students in Wyandanch and local surrounding communities.

ACCEPTABLE SUPPLIES (Accepted with prior arrangements, only): Filler paper, marble composition notebooks, one subject spiral notebooks, 1â binders, highlighters, pencils, 2 pocket folders, erasers, and 12â rulers. Provides free school supplies to low-income school-aged children in the local community. Also accepts donations of back packs and school supplies.Parents need to bring the school supply list and fill out an application. The salvation army will work toward filling the order through donations. Parents must bring the supply list from the school as early as possible in August before school starts.

Back-to-School Supplies

Provides a food pantry for Veterans, the Military and their families, and families in need. LI Cares hosts Military Appreciation Tuesdays in Huntington Station, Lindenhurst, and Freeport which gives veterans and their families access to food, personal care items, household products, pet food, and school supplies. Also veterans are provided with information and resources pertaining to veteran specific benefits. LI Cares also operates a Mobile Pantry which delivers nutritious groceries to homebound, disabled veterans unable to access their local pantries.
