Through their AmeriCorps Partnership, students are offered the opportunity to earn college grants and benefits by completing community service hours. Required to serve 450 hours community service for a minimum grant of $1,750 for educational use. Registered Apprenticeship Programs utilize this partnership as a Direct Entry Provider.

Scholarship Awards are made in two areas: academic and enrichment. Academic and enrichment scholarships awarded to support eligible youth. Community service grants are made to youth-serving agencies and schools that are mentoring a group of 7th-12th grade youth on a community service project. A Youth Advisory Board, led by teen volunteers from Long Island schools, works with United Way to review all applications and make scholarship award recommendations.
