* Provides a college and career readiness program that offers middle and high school students academic support, social-emotional mentorship, and job readiness training and placement to prepare them for post-graduation success.

Assigns counselors to work with students throughout their EOC experience. Works collaboratively with students, teachers, and other agencies to develop students academically, personally, and socially. Job and college placement are an integral part of the counseling component.

Summer Youth Employment & Training Program (SYETP) is a summer academic and career development program. Youth are exposed to an enriching learning environment that includes academic development, career/vocational focus, and exploration/recreational activities. Participants 14 to 18 have the opportunity to participate in job shadowing/summer internships and earn a stipend for their participation.

Provides a community mental health program designed to assist people with psychiatric conditions with choosing, getting and keeping educational goals. Services are provided in individual counseling sessions in the office or directly on campus. Support is provided to individuals seeking to get a GED, attend vocational training, or attend college.

Recruits and assesses low income, TANF eligible teenage students, with a strategy which includes academic support services, job readiness skills, conflict resolution training, and individual and group counseling to help them succeed in various ways.

Courses are offered in: English For Speakers Of Other Languages; Adult Basic Education; Preparation for The General Education Development Test (GED® Test); National External Diploma Program; Guidance and Counseling Services and Workplace Skill Development. In addition the Long Beach Literacy Zone and Family Welcome Center provides assessment, case management and support services. After school program that focuses on academics, life skills, and career and college exploration. Teens participate in classroom and group lessons in a safe environment. Summer program is for 6 weeks and during the six week period, Monday-Thursday (or four days a week), the students work at the designated internship site and Fridays (or 1 day a week) the students work on life skills, career and college exploration.
