Provides a NYSED approved article 81 residential school for youth ages 5-21 years old. Includes a 12 month program with a 6:1:3 ratio as well as speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy and counseling. New York State certified special education school that was created to accommodate the needs of the children and adolescents with developmental disabilities who reside at The Robert J. McMahon Children’s Center in Nassau County, Long Island. Small class sizes and student-centered instruction tailor each student’s education to his/her individual needs and abilities.

Offers an academic program for youth in 5th through 9th grades, which focuses on the three basic challenges faced by these students with language-based learning disabilities, acquiring skills so they can reach their academic potential, developing self-confidence in their own ability to achieve success, and understanding their learning differences so they can become effective advocates for themselves.
Provides a residential and day school, including health and rehabilitation services for children and young adults with Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injury, Autism, PDD, down syndrome, senfilippo (Pervasive Developmental Disabilities), orthopedic or neurological impairments, or with other developmental and physical disabilities.
Provides students with hearing loss, communication disorders, and/or multiple disabilities a small class milieu in a Total Communication, Language Rich Environment (LRE). Instruction, following New York State Education Department standards, is provided using Total Communication - spoken, signed and written language - to meet students' individual communication needs. Related services, including Speech, Physical and Occupational Therapies, as well as counseling are available. Audiological services such as hearing tests and minor device repair (hearing aids, cochlear implants, etc.) are provided on-site by licensed audiologists. Academic based "Specials," such as Art, Drama and Music are also offered. SMSD has a strong after school program that includes tutoring, sports and community based activities. A 5 day residential program is also available.
Special day school providing educational programming for students who have special learning, social, and emotional needs. Provides students with the academic, social, and behavioral supports necessary for meeting commencement requirements. School-to-work transition planning begins at age 13 to prepare students for the shift to the community and toward their post-secondary goals. Provides a Language Rich Environment (LRE) utilizing American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken and written English. Instruction follows New York State Education Department standards. Related services, including Speech, Physical and Occupational Therapies, and counseling are available. Audiological services such as hearing tests and minor device repair (hearing aids, cochlear implants, BaHa’s, etc.) are provided on-site by a licensed audiologist. Classes in Art, Computer Technologies, Drama, Journalism, and Music are also offered. St. Mary’s has a strong after-school program that includes tutoring, sports and community-based activities. A five-day residential program is available.
Provides daycare and preschool services for children with disabilities aged 0-5 years old. Provides respite and school age services for individuals with developmental disabilities aged 5-21 years old.

Wildwood School is a private, not-for-profit day program for students between the ages of 3 to 21 with neurological impairments, complex learning disabilities, autism and other neurologically-based developmental disorders.
Provides cooperative learning and individual instruction to meet the needs of students who are at risk of not succeeding in a regular school setting.

Provides a special education through services and programs specifically designed for children and adolescents with multiple disabilities. Specific services that are provided include speech, occupational, physical, psychological, and behavioral therapies as well as training many students in the Vocational Program.
Offers a specialized comprehensive educational curriculum for students in 9th through 12 grades, to help each student overcome their learning difficulties and to obtain their full potential to attain goals which are worked towards.
Offers a residential program for children with autism spectrum disorder ,and/or multiple disabilities to include autism that incorporates Applied Behavioral Analysis teaching methods and positive behavior supports. Programming focuses on life skills recreation and leisure skills, household living; with opportunities for participation in Special Olympics Events. Housing placement is based on age and level of functioning. Family outings day and home visits are encouraged.

Provides educational services for children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral issues and cannot be served in the public school setting. A multi- disciplinary team provides comprehensive social, emotional, behavioral, and academic supports in a campus setting.
Provides a New York State approved, day school program serving toddlers, preschool, and elementary aged students with developmental disabilities or autism, and a wide range of intellectual ability and need. This program is committed to preparing children, whenever possible, to return to a less restrictive educational environment. As a child shows improved ability to function successfully they can participate in an integration program to provide experiences with more typical children or in a less restrictive educational setting. Also extends school for six weeks during the summer to provide year round comprehensive instruction and minimize student regression.
Approved school for high school girls at risk with severe depression and school phobia, suicidal ideation and behavior. Residential and Day programs available.
