Consultations and trainings are designed to assist staff to work effectively at sites with the most challenging students on the autism spectrum. These services are added to a District’s Commitment Form/student IEP when the service of a behavioral specialist or autism consultant is recommended by the CSE for implementation on a regular basis over a period of time. Provides participating School District students in kindergarten through 4th Grade assistance in reading, writing, math and social skills.

Dedicated to providing literacy support to children, adolescents, and adults in an environment where learners have the safety and support that allow them to take risks and gain confidence as they move toward developing mature control of literacy skills. The Reading/Writing Learning Clinic provides services to families in the communities that adjoin Hofstra University as well as in the larger metropolitan area. New York state-certified literacy specialists provide weekly small group or individual instruction. Designed to provide the opportunity of a college education to capable students who are historically disadvantaged due to limited financial resources and inadequate academic preparation. EOP students are provided ongoing support services and resources to help insure their collegiate success. Once admitted to the college via EOP, students have access to a myriad of services including but not limited to academic, pre-professional and personal counseling; tutoring; workshops; advocacy; and supplemental financial support. The Educational Opportunity Program is committed to excellence and seeks students who are truly motivated and willing to work hard to achieve their goals. Enables students to enrich their education through additional courses; make up work for courses they failed or were unable to complete during the school year; complete high school programs in less than the time normally required; or improve their competencies in basic skills. It also provides for the administration of Regents exams in accordance with the Commissioner's regulations. Any two school districts that house their summer school population at a common site may participate in the Nassau BOCES Regional Summer School on a BOCES-aidable basis.
