Facility includes: gymnasium with basketball court, locker rooms, stage for theatrical performances, commercial kitchen, library, conference room, and 3 multi-purpose rooms. Home to an after-school program, and summer enrichment program. Other programs offered at this location include the I Can Read program and Kids Cafe which provides after school meals for children and youth in grades K-12 and runs from September - June.

Provides courses which encourage lifelong learning. Classes are offered during the day, evenings and on weekends. Courses offered assist adults to upgrade current job skills, prepare for new careers and grow personally and professionally. Course offerings range from courses providing highly technical skills to classes promoting general interest and self-development. Also offered are English classes for adults who are beginner or intermediate speakers.

Provides an Extended School Day and School Violence Prevention program. Weekly clubs offer literacy activities through hands-on programming. School Violence Prevention provides crisis-intervention counseling and support groups to target protective assets and risk factors.

Program designed to help parents and children appreciate the value of reading. Program encourages parents and children alike to read books and share thoughts and opinions in discussion groups.

Dedicated to providing literacy support to children, adolescents, and adults in an environment where learners have the safety and support that allow them to take risks and gain confidence as they move toward developing mature control of literacy skills. The Reading/Writing Learning Clinic provides services to families in the communities that adjoin Hofstra University as well as in the larger metropolitan area. New York state-certified literacy specialists provide weekly small group or individual instruction. The Reading/Writing Learning Clinic also offers professional reading and writing evaluations for school-aged children and adults. The Parent-Child Home Program provides two home visits a week for families with children ages 2 and 3 years. Each week the home visitor brings the family a book or educational toy that remains with them permanently. The home visitor models parenting techniques, emphasizing verbal interaction and learning through play. The goal is to help parents become their child's first and most important teacher and ensure that these children enter school ready to learn and succeed. Collaborates with Literacy Suffolk, Inc. to offer services of trained literacy volunteers. Provides help with reading/writing skills and English as a second language (ESOL). Offers support services for tutors, clients. Conducts interviews with clients, tutors prior to inclusion in program. Call for information/appointment.

Offers literacy programs to teach adults to read and English classes for immigrants or those who want to improve their English.

Helps those interested prepare for US Citizenship exam. * Structures tutoring primarily in a one-to-one setting at a time and place convenient for both learner and tutor. Group sessions offered as needed for math, science, conversation/pronunciation and a book group. Tutors work with individuals until they have met their goals.
