Provides a culturally responsive learning environment with dual-language for children from birth to 5 years and their parents/caregivers. Learning activities take place at learning centers, in the community, and in the home.

Provides specialized meditation for disputes that include students with disabilities, parents/guardians of children who are receiving early childhood intervention services, agricultural mediation, and conflict coaching to assist individuals with one-on-one strategizing for conflict resolution.

Offers recreational, educational and cultural programming as well as print and multimedia materials for borrowing, computer and Internet access, computer instruction, online resources, interlibrary loan, a video magnifier and assistive devices and software, information and referral, homebound services, a community room for meetings, and a tutoring space.

Offers integrated services to prepare young children for successful learning through four critical services areas including nursing home visits, early care and education, parent education and healthcare. Programming is offered through a collaborative effort of many agencies throughout the county.

Offers services to pregnant women and newborns to age 3 and their families. Weekly home visits provide a variety of materials and activities designed to support cognitive, social and healthy development of infants and toddlers. Center based sites and in home services are available. Services include development assessments, individualized lesson plans, nutritious meals and assistance in accessing health, dental or mental health services.

Provides early childhood education and family support services to children and families. The program goal is to offer a wide range of social and educational experiences to help prepare children and families for a successful transition into kindergarten. Services also include nutritious meals, health screenings and services for children with disabilities. Limited transportation is available to participants of the Friendship and Wellsville centers. Children and families enrolled in the home based option receive education and family services during their weekly home visit, each lasting 1.5 hours each week.

This series is designed to assist parents of toddlers and preschoolers understand and help develop the skills. It includes interactive early literacy and numeracy activities, discussions about appropriate media usage and an exploration of the importance of play.

Provides an early childhood/parent education program with home visits twice a week designed to support school readiness and build parenting skills for children ranging from 16 months to 4 years.

Provides an 8 week, 1 hour per week separation class for children 2 years and up to help ease a young child into a preschool setting. During the program, children can be with their parents and parents can see their children when they want or need to.

Offers a Pre-Kindergarten program for 4 year olds eligible for kindergarten the following September in either Connetquot or Middle Country School Districts. Connetquot offers a half day comprehensive early childhood education program. Middle County offers a 6.5 hour day. Activities promote social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Specific education, health and social services objectives focus on cognitive and intellectual development, physical and mental health, as well as the nutritional needs of the child. Offers a program designed to promote the development of educationally at-risk pre-school children, ParentChild+ sends trained home visitors into participants’ homes to help parents become their children’s first teacher and make home their first classroom. Home visitors teach parents to increase children’s vocabulary through conversation, reading together, and play. They also assist children to develop pre-literacy skills so they will be on a par with their peers when they enter Pre-K. Developmentally appropriate books and toys are used to foster language development and pre-literacy skills. Children of families that participate in this two-year program begin their formal school experiences with a vocabulary that is on a par with children from “middle income” families. An intensive school-readiness home visitation program for toddlers and parents. Trained Early Learning Specialists visit families in their homes for one half-hour twice a week for a minimum of 23 weeks, for up to two program years. The Early Learning Specialist bring educational books and toys, which are used to develop early literacy and school readiness skills, increase the parent-child verbal interaction, model positive parenting, and promote pro-social behaviors. Learning materials gifted to the family serve the additional purpose of creating an educational environment in the home that generalizes to other siblings and serves as a bridge to starting school.
