Provides therapeutic preschool, Universal Pre-Kindergarten (Riverhead School District), and therapeutic services to children ages 2.5 to 5 years. Children with diagnosed disabilities and developmental delays are educated with typically developing peers. Provides evaluation and services in the areas of special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, music therapy, vision therapy, counseling, social work services and psychological services. Consent for evaluation required through school district of residence. Infants and toddlers from birth to 3 years receive in-home evaluations. If eligible, services are provided in natural environments (home/community/day care facilities) through the Early Intervention Program as authorized by Suffolk County Division of Services for Children with Special Needs.

Provides 21/2 to 5 year old children who are undergoing treatment for cancer the opportunity to interact and socialize, in a safe, infection free environment that stimulates cognitive and social development. Provides religious services and religious activities. Provides weekly worship at nursing homes, and visitation at South Oaks Hospital. Is a partner with St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in the Amityville Ecumenical Ministry providing job referrals, soup kitchen, CEPU (Comprehensive Emergency Program for the Unemployed (631)598-2378), and counseling. Provides meeting space for Al-Anon, Explorer Scouts, and Girl Scouts. Sponsors the Grace Day School for preschoolers Monday-Friday.

Offers a quality early education program for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. The Child Care Institute (CCI) is licensed and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). CCI’s program focuses on the child's total development -- social, emotional, cognitive, and physical. It offers developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years, providing opportunities for hands-on, integrated learning. Children are grouped according to age and ability. CCI encourages parent involvement and education in an enriched learning environment. The interdisciplinary services of the clinical programs associated with the Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center render CCI unique in the provision of education, care, assessment, and enriched learning environments for young children and their families. Provides an early intervention program for children birth-2.ll years. Program is center and home based for children with confirmed or suspected hearing loss and their parents. Offers a fully accredited elementary program recognized by New York State for deaf students. Also offers full after-school extended program including sports and computers. Program includes a mainstream program and alternative multi-handicapped program.

Offers a variety of programs including classes ranging from 6 months to pre-school, parent/child classes, transition and separation programs, a dedicated outdoor nature classroom and both full time and part time nursery.
