The Waldorf School is based on a developmental curriculum that integrates academic, artistic, and practical studies. Our aim is to teach our students to think with clarity and creativity, to work with application and skill, and to experience the arts through activity and imagination. Serves grades Nursery-12th.

Offers a nursery school program for 3 and 4 year olds that is based upon using nature and the environment as the foundation of its curriculum.

Offers small individual classes for 2,3, and 4 year old children as well as a Mommy and Me program for both toddlers and parents, play groups, outreach to the surrounding communities and parent workshops. Produces an agency brochure and provides a speakers bureau including topics such as self-esteem, rainy day activities, sibling rivalry and Kindergarten readiness. Offers parent membership to help with the running of the Nursery School.

Provides individualized educational program for children, toddler through grade eight (ages 2-14 years).

Provides three year old children with the social and educational support necessary for them to successfully enter Universal Pre-K.

DBCH provides a special preschool, in conjunction with the child's school district, for those children with special needs.

Early childhood facility with social emotional supports. Provides childcare for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Infant, Older Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and School Age programs available. Early Head Start classrooms on site. Social Workers on site for child/family support, linkages, and referrals. Families also have access to other Family Support Center programs, including but not limited to a 24-hour helpline, food pantry, preventive services, and parenting groups (see separate listings). Special summer programs available. This is a QUALITYstarsNY and Pyramid Model center.

A comprehensive child development Head Start/Preschool program designed to serve income eligible children 0-5 years of age including children with disabilities and their families.

Provides preschool age children with hearing loss, communication disorders, and/or multiple disabilities a small class milieu, 5 days a week, in a Total Communication, Language Rich Environment (LRE). Instruction, following New York State Education Department standards, is provided using Total Communication - spoken, signed and written language - to meet students' individual communication needs. Related services, including Speech, Physical and Occupational Therapies, as well as counseling are available. Audiological services such as hearing tests and minor device repair (hearing aids, cochlear implants, etc.) are provided on-site by licensed audiologists. Academic based "Specials," such as Art, Drama and Music are also offered. Sign language classes and other support services are available to families through the Parent Center.

A comprehensive child development Head Start/Preschool program designed to serve income eligible children 0-5 years of age including children with disabilities and their families. Early Head Start: provides early, continuous, intensive, and comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income infants and toddlers and their families, and pregnant women and their families. Provides early learning, care and enrichment experiences to children in an early care and education setting. Staff members also visit family homes at least twice per year.

Provides early, continuous, intensive, and comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income infants and toddlers and their families, and pregnant women and their families. Provides early learning, care, and enrichment experiences to children in an early care and education setting. Staff members also visit family homes at least twice per year.

Offers daily classes for children with a wide variety of disabilities, including speech language delays,orthopedic problems, and cerebral palsy, from 3 years to age 5. Academic readiness and skills training are taught to prepare children for entrance into a schoolage program either at the Children's Learning Center or in their community schools. Language, social, and academic skills development, as well as appropriate therapy, are provided in collaborating self-contained, and inclusion classrooms.

Provides a full day education program for children (ages 3-5) with and without disabilities. Children w/disabilities receive services as reflected on their IEP including special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychological counseling and parent training.

Offers a quality early education program for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. The Child Care Institute (CCI) is licensed and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). CCI’s program focuses on the child's total development -- social, emotional, cognitive, and physical. It offers developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years, providing opportunities for hands-on, integrated learning. Children are grouped according to age and ability. CCI encourages parent involvement and education in an enriched learning environment. The interdisciplinary services of the clinical programs associated with the Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center render CCI unique in the provision of education, care, assessment, and enriched learning environments for young children and their families. CCI is open to the children of Hofstra faculty, staff and students, as well as families in the surrounding community. Call for more detailed information.

Operates Pre-K through 8th grade classes.

Comprehensive child development program that provides educational experiences, nutritional meals, counseling and opportunities for parental involvement to help prepare low income children and children with disabilities succeed in school licensed child care center preschool special education.

Provides Universal pre-Kindergarten services(Early Discoveries Center), adult day services(Day Haven Adult Day Services), and Head Start and Early Head Start programs(Children's Community Head Start). Under the management auspices of UCP Suffolk.

To provide high quality early childhood program within a safe nurturing environment that promotes the physical, intellectual and emotional development of young children while responding to the needs of families.

Preschool program operates five developmentally appropriate preschool classrooms in Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake, Fort Covington and Malone. We serve Children from ages 3-5, providing special education and speech, physical, occupational and play therapies to those who show a need for such services.
