Works to preserve the safety of the citizens and reintegration of offenders back into the community including an intake diversion unit , adult sex offender treatment program, juvenile sex offender treatment program, juvenile arson prevention program (the youth fire program), pretrial release, community service, adult intensive supervision, electronic home monitoring, local conditional release, juvenile intensive supervision, and juvenile community service.

The Village of New Square court provides information and assistance related to local court issues.

Provides a service, in collaboration with 2 other agencies (My Sisters' Place and Westchester Hispanic Coalition) to offer free legal services for poverty level residents or those who are victims of domestic violence for consumer disputes, housing, education, benefits, domestic violence, orders of protection, custody, child support, family law, including citizenship applications, work authorizations or other immigration issues.

Assists spouses and family members in obtaining Orders of Protection and in the preparation of family offense domestic violence, custody, visitation, modification and enforcement of divorce decree petitions for the Family Court. Provides referral and monitoring of court ordered services. Refers survivors of domestic violence to the Rockland Family Shelter for advocacy, sheltering and legal assistance.

Responsible for the service and enforcement of orders of protection throughout Suffolk County. They also arrest individuals charged with violating orders of protection and those with family offense related warrants. The Unit provides victims with a safe refuge by removing batterers from the home, seizing weapons and executing arrest warrants against the perpetrators of domestic violence. Provides the courts to deal with civil, supreme, family and surrogate issues in the county.

Family Court can help residents obtain an order of protection, file a violation, obtain custody of children, get child support, visitation, and provided other family related services. If some one needs to obtain or to modify a Family Court Order of Protection. While people are in court there is a free child care room at the YWCA for them to bring children. Children are not allowed into the court room, unless otherwise advised.

Provide the services regarding the issuance of emergency, restraining, protection and support orders designated by the family court.

Wesley Hills Village Court adjudicates civil and criminal cases, vehicle and traffic offenses, landlord-tenant cases, and small claims. Handles all violations of Village Code.

Court of Special Session, hears matters including but not limited to: Criminal Offenses, Violations, Misdemeanors, Civil Disputes, Vehicle Traffic Violations, Parking Citations, Consumer Protection, Code Enforcement, Landlord/Tenant Proceeding – all within the jurisdiction of the Village of Suffern.

Formally married regardless whether they still reside together; 4. Have a child in common regardless of marital status or have lived together; 5. Not related by blood or affinity and are or have been in an intimate relationship regardless if it is sexual in nature

Provides the courts to handle criminal, civil, small claims and traffic issues.

Investigates and prosecutes all felony cases involving the physical and sexual abuse of children under age 17, as well as all cases involving intimate partner and family violence. The Bureau’s mission also includes working with the Suffolk County Police Department’s Homicide Squad in the investigation and prosecution of infant homicides.
