Community Mediation is to promote alternative dispute resolution processes that enable individuals, community/neighborhood groups, and organizations to resolve conflicts without litigation; and to improve community group and personal relationships through neutral third party, fact finding, conciliating, facilitating, mediation and arbitration. Example of Community Conflicts: Animal Complaint Breach of Contract Consumer/Merchant Employer/Employee Eldercare Family Problem Harassment Interpersonal Dispute Landlord/Tenant Neighbor/Neighbor Noise Petit Larceny Property Dispute Restitution for Damages Small Claims Theft of Services Violation of Town/City Ordinance

COMMUNITY MEDIATION | DISPUTE RESOLUTION CENTER (DRC) OF PUTNAM COUNTY

Dispute resolution between community members who have a continuing relationship, such as neighbors, extended family, landlord/tenant, and consumer/merchant. Mediation Volunteer opportunities in dispute resolution after completing a multi-hour course available. Must commit for a minimum of 2 years.

COURTS AND COMMUNITY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROGRAM | DISPUTE RESOLUTION CENTER (DRC) - ORANGE

Mediation services are provided in and out of the court system for a wide variety of issues including landlord/tenant, small claims, neighbor/neighbor, and many other interpersonal relationship issues. Volunteer opportunities in dispute resolution after completing a 30 hour course available.
