Special eviction prevention program assists landlords and tenants before the court on eviction petitions. Provides consultation and training to schools for conflict resolution curriculum and peer mediation programs.

Call local police department for after hours and for local shelter. ** Note: Have callers who need after hours shelter assistance to go DIRECTLY to Village of Monticello Police Department IF they are in that area; if they do NOT have transportation to the village, have callers contact the Village's police department for further details. Outside of area they are to contact the Sullivan County Police Department to make arrangements and find out details for after-hours shelters.

Sullivan Housing Corporation was established to preserve and improve housing opportunities for low- to moderate-income residents of Sullivan County. The company's activities include: rehabilitation of existing housing, property management, and assistance to households applying for available loans and grant funds. Rural Sullivan also runs a comprehensive housing counseling program which assists persons through home ownership counseling, loan default remediation, and tenant/landlord issues.
