Provides advocacy services for victims of domestic violence who are involved with CPS (Child Protective Services).

Provides information on resources and services within the community for older adults and issues they need help finding or understanding. Also will help with questions about medical care, benefits, or utility shut-offs, or any issue which could affect those who are frail or homebound and may need the assistance of someone to advocate for them.

Will offer referrals to needed services in the community, help with claims against employers who discriminate and/or do not pay, help file police reports if they are robbed or assaulted, etc.

Provides support and education to family and friends of those diagnosed with mental illness, through advocacy, support groups, and education.

Provides residents of adult homes with legal and non legal advocacy services as well as training in issues which include the rights of adult home residents, rights of persons receiving services from mental health agencies and self-advocacy.

Provides services to crime victims and witnesses involved in the criminal justice process. Services Include: Assistance with applying to New York State Crime Victims Board for compensation; Information on your role in the criminal justice process and the significant stages of the process; Assistance with security measures to help protect your safety; Court information and case information. This includes explaining each step of the proceeding in order to help alleviate confusion and the resulting anxiety. Additionally court dates, times and places can be confirmed along with information on what to expect when you get there; Court accompaniment. If desired, a staff member of the Victim Services Unit will accompany the victim or witness to hearings and trial in order to provide support; Assistance with Property Return; Intervention with creditors and employers; Referrals to any social services you may need and Assistance with post-conviction proceedings, including the preparation of a Victim Impact Statement if a pre-sentence report is prepared in the case; speaking at the time of sentencing for felony offenses; and notifications regarding the defendant's parole or release from a correctional facility. * Provides support services to individuals with autism and support to family members. Speakers, workshops and support for families and the community at large. Social skills groups, recreational groups, summer camp social skills program, training and education for local organizations, businesses and schools.

Addresses access to equal opportunities in exercising social, economic, educational, and legal rights. Works with individuals, community organizations, and state/national networks to promote full inclusion of people with disabilities, and improve the implementation of existing laws.
