Provides patrol and other police services to the Town of Babylon. The officers of the First Precinct are assigned to a wide variety of tasks including community policing, motor patrol, gang enforcement, school resource officers, and quality of life enhancement. Our COPE and CSU officers work on quality of life issues ranging from traffic problems to drug complaints. The precinct commanding officer hosts precinct wide community meetings. The Suffolk County Crime Victims Center (CVC) provides vital trauma informed support services, information, and multi-agency service referrals for assistance to child and adult victims of sexual assault and to all victims of violent crime, all victims of hate crime and elderly, minor and disabled victims of property crime. The CVC will also assist you in completion of required documents to secure reimbursement for medical and essential personal property expenses related to the crime.
