Represents individuals in local criminal courts, County Court, Supreme Court, and Family Court who are unable to afford an attorney.

Receives and reviews applications and determines eligibility for free attorney services. Attorneys handle cases involving violations, misdemeanors, felonies, appeals in criminal court and most matters in family court.
* Represents defendants accused of crimes in the Town, Village and County Courts. Also represents individuals involved in Family Court matters.
Provides legal representation to persons accused of crimes and jailable offenses. Involves every aspect of representation from investigation through trial, to post-judgment proceedings and appeals. Serves Village and Town Justice Courts, Binghamton City Court, Broome County Court, Supreme Court and Appellate Courts.

Represents some clients of the office in Family Court cases in which clients are entitled to legal representation.* Handles matters involving felonies, misdemeanors, appeals, parole, probation, vehicle and traffic, and some simple violations of law in Ontario County Court, Geneva, and Canandaigua City Court, Drug Court, and the various Justice Courts in Ontario County. Handles arraignment at the Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) and Youth Part.
