To provide parole supervision of men/women released from prison on parole under conditions set by NYS.
NYS Division of Parole works with individuals and families involved in the parole system.
Supervises parolees who have been released from prison sentences until they reach the maximum expiration of their sentence.

This agency investigates residence and employment plans of prospective parolees from the New York State Department of Correctional Services Facilities and approves or disapproves those plans, making alternative plans when required. After release the parolee is supervised by an assigned parole officer in accordance with the agency standards of supervision. This supervision continues until the parolee reaches their maximum expiration date, or for a minimum of three years from the date of release.
Provides information and services to the Courts, offers crime victim's a voice in the judicial system, and assists in strengthening families. Probation consists of the Criminal and Family Divisions. Both provide pre-disposition diversion services and for those offenders who cannot be diverted court mandated investigations and community supervision services.
