Counselors taught income tax preparation and computer operation by IRS-trained AARP Tax-Aide volunteer instructors. Commitment runs from Feb 1st to April 13th. Volunteers with knowledge of computers and 1040 Tax Forms do both federal and state income taxes. Classes for volunteers begin on Jan 3rd.

Provides nutritious meals, reservations are needed by noon the day before. A contribution of $4.00 is requested for people age 60+ and spouse of any age. Those under age 60 are charged $5.00 per meal. AARP volunteers assist low to moderate income taxpayers, especially those 60 and older, with free tax preparation services. This service is offered during tax season January-April.
